zmspartans
Oklahoma st. should not have gotten in. Their are plenty of other good teams that didn't make it. That being said, the Big 12 is one of the best conferences in college baseball, behind the top-to-bottom great SEC and ACC
WJMorris3
Dallas Baptist should not be steaming - Oklahoma State did better in their conference than Dallas Baptist did in theirs - it is as simple as that. Will, once again you are a shining beacon of ignorance. There's a good reason Dallas Baptist didn't do as well in a conference as Oklahoma State, the Patriots don't have one to play in. They have to play as an independent because no conference is willing to house a team that only plays one sport in Division I(They're currently in the Division II Heartland Conference for their other sports) and a recent move-up at that. But if you're not in a conference, in reality you should be going unbeaten to have a chance to make it - and they didn't. If you have no conference affiliation, then you should have to go unbeaten to make the tournament, because you don't play a tough conference schedule. Seadragon76
Allow me to play devil's advocate here.Dallas Baptist went 8-13 against teams that will be in the tourny.Oklahoma State went 10-15 against teams that will be in the tourny. Now, Texas Tech went 13-17 against teams that will be in the tourny.Rhode Island went 6-7 against teams that will be in the tourny. What does this prove? Texas Tech, despite a losing mark, did the best against teams that are competing in the tourny and should of gotten in over Oklahoma State, Dallas Baptist and Rhode Island. Oklahoma St. and Texas Tech are in the same conference and played a three game set AT TEXAS TECH. Oklahoma St. won two of three on the road against Tech. Maybe Oklahoma St. wasn't deserving of a bid, but if that's the case then Texas Tech certainly wasn't deserving.

Scary, ain't it? I had to reread that statement about ten times just to make sure my eyes weren't playing a trick on me. Nope. No Trick:Just comparing OK St. and DBU:Dallas Baptist went 3-4 against Big XII Competition OK State went 9-16 in the Big XII.DBU played 4 Big XII Teams (Baylor, Texas, TAMU, Tech)OK went 5-6 against those same teams.DBU and OK St both played 3 games against Texas A&M. Both Went 1-2. DBU: 3-4 (L); 11-10 (W); 2-8 (L)OkSt: 4-1 (W); 4-7 (L); 4-6 (L)If anything they are even. But not being in a conference shouldn't be held against Dallas Baptist. Plainsman Parking Lot. That's nearly 3 whole 9 inning games! The worst part: Boston College now has to play in the early game on Sunday against Army. At least Texas can get some rest. zmspartans
#2 seed Alabama was upset twice and has been eliminated. #1 seeds Rice, UC Irvine, and Georgia Tech were also upset and will play elimination games today. Meanwhile the Big 12 has looked very good. How about Oklahoma St. Hahaha silenced the critics.
