BJ Sands
Indeed. Why isn't this organization in another league?Used to be in the CBA and based in the Rio Grande Valley. That, um, didn't go well. Not only were they sabotaged by the D-League placing a franchise there the same time, they had some serious PR and general competence issues. The old owner tried to sabotage the team by firing the coach and getting rid of players during a 20 game win streak this past season. A judge wouldn't let the moves be made. After the season the guy from Beaumont broke ties with the man from the Valley leading to the name Mavericks.
