I have a list below of eleven statements. Each statement could apply to multiple Big Ten schools, but there is only one way to arrange the Big Ten schools so that each statement is true, using all eleven schools exactly once.

  1. Football team plays home games at Memorial Stadium
  2. Has won multiple national women's lacrosse championships
  3. Football team has no names on back of jerseys
  4. Has a winning record in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge
  5. Has won both men's and women's NIT
  6. Has stadium named for Heisman Trophy winner
  7. Played in two consecutive men's basketball title games
  8. Has won multiple national men's track and field championships
  9. Stadium has hosted at least one Chicago Bears home game
  10. Has had multiple Heisman Trophy winners
  11. Has won multiple national wrestling championships

I'll give you guys, say, 72 hours to have at it, so I'll reveal the answers at 4:00 PM ET on Wednesday.

Note: I request that those who answer this answer all eleven at once, rather than only one or two.

Two other things...

One, I will stop the question early ONLY if I see all eleven answers correctly placed. So if you don't see me stopping, assume there's at least two answers wrong.

Two, only one guess per person.

We'll try this again, only this time, the answers are the twelve SEC schools. Most statements apply to multiple schools, but there's only one way to make 'em all true at once, using each school only once.

  1. Joined the SEC in 1991
  2. Has won multiple BCS championships
  3. Once coached by Paul Bryant
  4. Teams named the Bulldogs
  5. Never played in the SEC Football Championship
  6. Basketball arena seats at least 20,000
  7. Football field does not have slingshot goalposts
  8. Have won multiple NCAA championships in swimming and diving
  9. Never won SEC Baseball Tournament
  10. Have won multiple NCAA championships in golf
  11. Never won NCAA title
  12. Plays for the Foy-ODK Sportsmanship Trophy

We'll give the standard 72 hour time limit, so answers will need to be in by Thursday at 4 PM ET. Remember, only one answer per person, and you need to give me your full list.

I've been talking to Will on MSN and the way he is phrasing this has got me doubting myself, but I'm gonna put it out there the 11 can't be Ole Miss becuase they have at least 3 football championship (59, 60, 62).

... Damn you, Will.

However, none of those football titles were truly NCAA titles, as they weren't conferred by the National Collegiate Athletic Association. They were the result of polling and/or pronouncements by third-parties. I took it that Will was seeking which SEC school had never won an officially-sanctioned, NCAA-administrated/bestowed team national championship competition. Mississippi State and the University of Mississippi have never claimed NCAA-sanctioned team national championships. However, given that Mississippi State was the answer to category #4, that leaves the University of Mississippi as the answer to #11.
