capn89 Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 This is a design I used the last time I worked up some uniforms for the Nashville Predators. I decided to convert it for the Hamilton Tigers; dropping the silver, changing the colors around a bit, logos and so forth. I plan to mock up a third, different style, probably something yellow, not sure yet, though. The secondary logo is one that someone touched up from the NHL logos thread in the other forum. Let me know what you think.I may start doing more teams. I'm not sure. I was really bored and was playing around with some jerseys and sort of got a little enjoyment from it again.ORIGINAL HOME & AWAY IORIGINAL HOME & AWAY IIEDIT:Updated colors of gray/graphite, orange/yellow.
Discrim Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 I aint completely sure about this one cap. mainly, the color scheme doesn't seem like all that great of a choice. problem is, I can't think of one that would work here that other teams don't already use. eh well, I'll sleep on it. So I just bit it and decided to go Blue & Gold and the Sabres can suck it. Ultimately the idea was, if the Predators moved to Hamilton what might be done? Well they could go an entirely different route colorwise, or do what the Coyotes did when they rebranded and nitpick some colors from the orgy they had. I figured that Hamilton at one point in time was gold (and black) I could steal the Preds' gold, drop in the dark navy (sort of like a black) and go from there. I also had to take into consideration what might look "ok" for the color of the tiger on the shoulder. Yellow and Orange looked all right, but things like purple, red, green, blue, etc looked awful. Thanks for the c&c, though, I've appreciated your comments on my stuff since back in the golden age of Depot. If and when I go back to this team I'll probably see what I can do by going in a different direction. Perhaps I drop the secondary logo and just use the "H" and I can go any color route I wish.
Discrim Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 alright, makes sense. as the aforementioned problem stands, two color schemes scream "tigers" to me: black/orange and black/gold. however, we got the aforementioned problem of the Flyers owning orange & black, and the Bruins and Penguins entrenched as hockey's black and gold teams. A possible solution? Gray (graphite, to be specific) and gold. Or graphite and Tennessee orange. Whatever you do, keep the tiger head. Hell, I'd make it the crest. capn89 Posted July 19, 2009 Author Posted July 19, 2009 I decided to take Discrimihater's advice and change up the colors as well as change up some logos. I'll update the graphics on here later or eventually. But here's a sneak peak at the alternate. The "H" now is a shoulder logo on the home and away and the primary logo on the third while I used the CFL's alternate logo as the primary logo on the home and road jerseys.
Brass Posted July 19, 2009 Posted July 19, 2009 I'm not a fan of your original ones, strictly because they use a logo that is already utilized. Drop the shoulder logo off the orange alternates, however, and that's a jersey I would buy in a heartbeat! On 4/10/2017 at 3:05 PM, Rollins Man said: what the hell is ccslc? Â Â
Discrim Posted July 19, 2009 Posted July 19, 2009 um, brass, the original set was the blue/gold, which capn seems to have taken down...anyways, that color scheme actually looks better than I thought it would (granted, I thought it'd be good, otherwise I wouldn't have suggested it, but damn cap)... , i don't even care that you used the Ti-Cats head, this is awesome. I've never been too bothered using already-existing logos but I can understand where it might bother someone. Glad you liked the alternate. um, brass, the original set was the blue/gold, which capn seems to have taken down...anyways, that color scheme actually looks better than I thought it would (granted, I thought it'd be good, otherwise I wouldn't have suggested it, but damn cap)... , i don't even care that you used the Ti-Cats head, this is awesome.Yeah I took them off, but I put up links to them now, since they're all on my Flickr page. I was surprised how well the colors worked together, too. You had a hell of an idea and I ran with it. Thanks again for the input.

At least you used it in a good way. And yes, don't get me wrong in any way, I still adore that alternate jersey! On 4/10/2017 at 3:05 PM, Rollins Man said: what the hell is ccslc? Â Â

siegel0572 Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 I like the concepts for your uniforms and I agree the Coyotes should be moved there, but I don't think the Tiger-Cats would allow their logos used for a new hockey team. That being said, the tiger head logo looks great on the sweater.
