Watching Colt's post game interview is painful....

Could he lift his arm? He was saying it was knumb, and felt no pain, and it didn't feel like a different than normal contact hit, just makes you wonder...

This is where a future in the NFL intervened.

ROLL TIDE!!! Texas played a great game, and if McCoy hadn't got hurt it would of been scary but I'm just glad we won, and what kinda gatorade bath was that??? They almost hit him in the face...but once again Roll Tide!!!

Not taking anything from Bama, but Texas was facing an uphill battle all night. Gotta wonder how this wouldve turned out had McCoy played.

If Florida sneaks past Boise for the #2 spot in the final polls I wouldn't be shocked.

Did anyone think Lisa Saulters (no clue if I spelled that right) was asking Colt those questions about his injury/not playing a little too soon?

They've got a name for the winners in the world

I want a name when I lose

They call Alabama the Crimson Tide

Call me Deacon Blues

WELP, congrats to Alabama for winning their 13th national championship. 24-6 at the half is too much of a margin for the Longhorns to make up w/o Colt McCoy.

Actually, they already "claim" 13, but some of those were "bizarre". I heard Scott Van Pelt Show today.

A total SID move.

How 'Bama got 12 National Titles

That's ridiculous, especially the 1941 "title".

Good game tonight, although I can't help but feel disappointed that we didn't get to see the best representation of Texas.

I'm a little angry this afternoon. USF coach Jim Leavitt has been fired. Now I'm not angry just because of this, I think a fair argument could be made that aftre 3 consecutive 5-0 starts the end results have been lacking. I would have rather seen him kept around, but I can't fault those who disagree based on performance.

What does upset me is the BS email I get from the President, as part of the alumni mailing list. "Coach Leavitt committed serious violations of our standards of conduct." Unless there's a 100% under wraps, this is pure BS. A known malcontent beat writer, who has been removed before for untrue, inflammatory "stories" about the university's sports teams (Basketball in particular) comes up with some story of Leavitt grabbing a kid by the throat at halftime of the Louisville game, citing "unnamed sources". All the players say nothing happened, the player in question's dad says nothing happened, and the player himself said nothing happened. If you want to fire the guy, then fire him based on performance, not some trumped up charged created by some idiot blogger. If you were an "unnamed player" who was "fearful" of a coach, would you wait 2+ weeks to say something? What a load of BS.

Cry me a freaking river. I have no sympathy for these maniacal tyrants.

How dare you say such a thing about football coaches? This one hurts Jigga.

Ooops! I forgot the proper response. My bad.

All head coaches are perfect. Players are prima donna pussies who need to be beaten into submission.

Phew, that's better. I lost my mind for a second.

Congratulations to the Tide and their fans. While things were surely favoring Texas in the very beginning, who knows if we would have won if Colt was in there. We'll never know. I did lose my respect for Saban however. That last touchdown was totally classless. You're lucky that Texas' best player gets hurt early in the game, and you add insult to injury by that crap. And Greg what's-his-face doing the Aggies/Sooner hook'em thing? Wow, aren't you a cool guy. Only completing 5 passes. Probably the worst QB to win a championship in the BCS era.

Other than that, if we were going to lose the 'ship to anybody, I'm glad it was Bama. Great, passionate fans, and the team really means a lot to the people there. Also, thanks for giving me confidence in Gilbert. He proved that he is going to be a good quarterback, and I like our chances to win a title while he's here. So it was a lose the battle, win the war kind of thing.

Hook'em!
