Whoa! Whoa! Whoa man. Wyoming isn't that bad of a place.

Wyoming is a pretty nice place, actually.

I must say something about SMU's whoopin Nevada in the Hawaii Bowl last night since the wife is a graduate of the Charles Foster Kane School of Business there.

Yea red, Yea blue, Yea Mustangs S-M-U!

Uggh, pathetic. Four straight bowl losses for Nevada-Reno now. We've gone a long way from losing the Humanatarian/MPC Computers bowl to a highly ranked Miami by one point a few years ago. And we've gone in the wrong direction.

SMU was better than their record. While SMU lost five games, three of those games were lost by three points (with two of those three in OT). SMU was better than their record.

Laramie (where the campus is) is by far the worst college town ive been to. im sure there is worse, but Laramie sucks. I lived in Cheyenne (not a bad big town/small city) for almost 2 yrs, and went there a few times. Sure, Wyoming has some great scenery, but also alot of NOTHINGNESS.

nice of the Bobcats to show up in the first half. OU looked like they didn't want to be anywhere near that stadium today and that includes the fans. Congratulations Marshall.

edit: I retract my congratulations to Marshall. A buddy of mine on the team said that a lot of Marshall's fans had whistles in the stands. Looking back on it, there were a few plays when the OU offense just stopped abruptly and one where it resulted in a sack and loose fumble. For shame Marshall.

Yeah, blame the fans for OU's loss.

They're OU dude. Used to be they didn't win...well...games. Enjoy the fact that they're playing in bowl games at all. I was rooting for them too but Marshall beat them fair and square.

guys, I'm not blaming the loss on the Marshall fans at all. Ohio played uninspired, and without any enthusiasm. Marshall played a solid game and deserved to win.

I'm just retracting my congratulations to any Marshall fans because blowing whistles in the stands is bush. The official even got on the microphone multiple times and told them to stop it.

No, you retracted your congrats to Marshall. Ohio U. played in a bowl game, when other schools didn't. So what if you had to play in Detroit again? So what if NIU is playing in a better bowl game? Enjoy the fact that the Bobcats got there (along with four other MAC teams). There are many other schools who would love to have been in OU's position.

You're mixing my two complaints together. I got over playing in the little caesar's bowl in Detroit and was pretty excited to watch OU in a bowl game. A night class made me miss their last bowl game during my freshman year. So I passed being unhappy about the bowl game draw.

My new gripe is marshall fans blowing whistles in the crowd. I think we can agree that that should not be tolerated at any level of football. Now, I'm not blaming the loss on that. The blame for losing falls entirely on OU playing like idiots for most of the game.

USC wins 24-13 in a baseball stadium for its NCAA-record 32nd bowl victory.

Yay?

Fight... On?

Blah.

I was at the game last night and although I had a ton of fun, blah kinda sums up the whole experience. It was cold and wet and the play was pretty awful from both teams. Last year when Cal beat Miami the place was wild. I expected to see the stadium pretty nicely filled with SC fans considering it's an easy travel route, but the place was half empty.

TTU coach Mike Leach suspended indefinitely.

Mike Leach Suspended by tech

He may walk now as he has not buyout on his contract.

Is this Mangino all over again, or did a suggestion involving peg legs go horribly awry?

Well, the player in question just happens to be the son of former SMU great & ESPN Color Commentator Craig James.

Yeah, I'm thinking that the Pirate is gonna be looking for a new job soon.

Now we had the Deadspin thread earlier this month, so take this as you will.

More on Mike Leach Suspension

This story was also reported from "a source" on SportsByBrooks.

Well...going in a bin certainly avoids the "bright lights" issue.

Was James medically cleared to practice and play for his post concussion syndrome, or did he never try to run tests?
