Team rituals after winning games

Tonight during the Angels game, owner Arte Moreno was talking about how every game the Angels win, they light up the Halo. It has been a tradition for years at the Big A, so that got me wondering...what traditions do other teams have after winning games?

Have you though about college football (in the USA) and their traditions? "You'll Never Walk Alone" as been sung before Liverpool games since the 60's! School songs and/or alma maters are very, very common in terms of traditions (Tennesseee, Texas, Michigan.. et al).

Yes, i'm aware of the MANY college traditions haha. I was more wondering about professional, but its an open topic, feel free to post about college, foreign, or professional traditions :)

"Foreign"...Thank you for being so very ethnocentric. In the NFL, fireworks and fight songs may be played after a win, but since owing season tickets for both the Raiders and Cowboys since 2006, neither team (and their fans) really care. Baseball usually does has a 10 second firework pull after a win, but city restrictions are a factor. Most towns will now zone against a tower like Anaheim's "A" too

Brewers untucking the jerseys.

"Bear Down Chicago Bears" after wins (and scores)

The Cardinals used to have the neon Eagle in the Budweiser logo flap its wings after wins and home runs, the tradtion continued at Busch II with a neon flying cardinal, but I don't think they have anything now...

The greatest tradition in all of sports comes at the end of an Australian Football game when, after the final siren goes, the club song is played over the PA system. Then, after spending three hours beating the crap out of their opponents, the winning club circles around their captain and belts out their club song.

Now granted that in the AFL, 13 out of the 16 songs are rips from the others -- St. Kilda uses "When the Saints Go Marching In", Melbourne uses "It's a Grand Old Flag", and Essendon uses "Keep Your Sunny Side Up" (changing the words to "See the Bombers Fly Up"), to name a few, but it's a great tradition nonetheless, and one that has extended to footy all around the world.

Our club song is kinda hokey -- it's based on "Do Wa Diddy". But I'm allowed to say that it's hokey because I came up with the words for it. ^_^

The Yankees play Sinatra's cover of "Theme from New York, New York" after a win and Liza Minnelli's original after a loss (presumably to punish the team).

As of a couple years ago, they dropped Liza. It's all Frank, all the time.

Oh. I haven't been around for the 9th inning of a home Yankees loss in a while.

I'm mixed on that. I don't think there's such a thing as too much Frank Sinatra and don't particularly care for Liza's rendition even if it is the original and doesn't flub the lyrics, but I've always associated the Sinatra version with wins and I'd probably feel weird hearing it after a loss.

What do you expect from an American who grew up in Japan? :P.

Tampa fires the Cannons after every score and win, and the SF Giants blow the old fog horn that used to be on the Golden Gate Bridge (ICS help me out here) after every win and I think Home Run. They also play Tony Bennett's I left my heart in San Francisco after every game.

Very cool.

I wish the Brewers would play The Milwaukee Polka, but a song about binge drinking probably wouldn't go over so well.

How is saying "foreign" being ethnocentric? Since i grew up in Japan, and have been to Hong Kong, Thailand, Korea, New Zealand and Australia (and have attended an AFL game, which was awesome), i seriously doubt I'm ethnocentric. If anything, American customs are more foreign to me than anything :P
