My understanding is that team uniforms and color schemes will be unveiled this week, with logos set to be revealed in September.

I still think that is out of whack. Why release logos AFTER the uniform unveilings?!?

I say it's better to do the logos BEFORE the uniforms. But even there, you still run the risk of your design being leaked to boards like this.

Ugh... As a Las Vegas Local and a Floridian (born and grew up in Orlando), these names sucks...

Locomotives? Yes we do have railroads and train..But, they are useless in Las Vegas! It used to have a Station for Passengers to travel from south to the north (hence the Main Street Station Casino on Fremont street).

Tuskers... Sound pathetic for Orlando.. Going for Dumbo? Also, there are wild boars exist in Central Florida by the way... I have seen them..

These would've been better:

Las Vegas Rattlers

Las Vegas Sidewinders

Las Vegas Big Horns (our state animal)

Las Vegas Silver Rush (a miner or something)

Las Vegas Boulders (Hoover Dam reference)

Las Vegas Dustbowls (it is a dustbowl out here.. lol)

Las Vegas Sand Storm

Las Vegas Burros

Las Vegas Coyotes

Orlando Armadillos

Orlando Thor

Orlando Orion

Orlando Mosquito (lol, hence the bad mosquito problem)

Orlando Wild Foxes (lots of red foxes and need a new identity for an animal)

Orlando Citrus Barons (huge history about how central Florida fill with orange trees and a famous Citrus Baron name Philip Phillips)

im thinking vegas gold, black or navy, maybe some light grey and white...
At a press conference today, United Football League Commissioner Michael Huyghue announced the Las Vegas franchise will be named the Locomotives and unveiled innovative team uniforms showcasing the Locomotives? ?Premiere? season colors of silver, blue and white. The name ?Locomotives? was selected after reviewing more than thirty thousand fan entries and receiving interpretation from industry experts and an in-house creative team on what attributes the fans were seeking with their submissions. Las Vegas Locomotives Head Coach Jim Fassel was also in attendance at the press event.

Maybe those are the colors???

College sports as we know them are just about dead. The lid is off on all the corruption that taints just about every major program and every decision that the schools or the NCAA make is only about money, money, and more money. We'll have three 16+ team super-conferences sooner rather than later, killing much of the regional flair and traditional rivalries that make college sports unique and showing the door to any school that doesn't bring money to the table in the process. Pretty soon the smaller schools are going to have to consider forming their own sanctioning body to keep the true spirit of college sports alive because the NCAA will only get worse in it's excess from here

Well, this adds logic to my choice of New York Heroes as that team's name...

Part 1 is already complete...now all we need is the San Francisco Speeding Bullets and Orlando Tall Buildings to complete the perfect marketing set for them!

The UFL Web site has a press release about the Las Vegas unveiling, but no pics of the uniforms yet. It says it will have pics of all uniforms on its Web site.

The uniforms are made by Miami-based GameWear Team Sports.

From the commissioner:

?Las Vegas was originally established in 1905 with the opening of the Salt Lake, San Pedro and Los Angeles Railroads. We wanted to honor the vast history of the city and the intrinsic benefits that this innovation provided to the community.?

Close, but no cigar Mr. Commissioner. It was the San Pedro, Los Angeles and Salt Lake Railroad.

For good measure, here are the nicknames I've been hoping would be used by the UFL teams:

Las Vegas Bandits

New York Emperors

Orlando Hammerheads

San Francisco Condors

Why "Hammerheads" for Orlando? That city is quite a distance inland, you know....

... which once again gets me thinking of the incongruity of the name "Orlando Breakers" used in the ABC TV show "Coach"

It is what it is.

You can see part of a "LV" logo of sorts on the shoulder. Interesting chest stripe and piping.

(MLF) Chicago Cannons,  (IHA) Phoenix Firebirds - 2021 Xtreme Cup Champions

(WAFL) Phoenix Federals - WAFL World Bowl XII Champions (Defunct)

I've seen better and I've seen worse. This uniform isn't as offensive as most upstart minor leagues.
