Well here's a thought. Instead of patches, how about some actual integration into the design? Because of the Heinz affiliation, every Steeler should wear number 57. :P

Don't tempt them. Every bottle of Rolling Rock beer already has the number "33" branded into it...

*Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff. 😁

Not to stray too far off-topic, but I find it interesting that the Bob Kraft-owned Patriots can find a branding sponsor for their practice threads, while Kraft's soccer club, the Revolution, are one of the few teams in MLS that remain without a kit sponsor.

At least they're limiting the ads to only the practice jerseys, unlike those tacky captain's patches the NFL introduced a couple years ago. Those need to go, stat!

whats the point of having Gillette as a sponsor for their jerseys when its already the name of the stadium?? do they really pay THAT much?

Not like Kraft actually pays enough attention to that team. :P

With that said...I guess this makes sense. Even though IT'S THE BEGINNING OF THE END! THE SANCTITY OF THE PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL JERSEY HAS BEEN BESMIRCHED! ROGER GOODELL AND HIS MERRY MEN! ROBBING THE POOR AND GIVING TO THE RICH! NOOOOOO!!!!!

I'd love to see a team sponsored by Enzyte or Viagra, it would give me a good laugh

Because having some soccer team sponsored by "Bimbo" isn't bad enough? Sheesh, every Mexican in Chicago wears one thinking they are hysterical! :cursing:

Ugh . . . this is worse than expected. The sky isn't falling just yet, but there are cracks in the ceiling. As I've gotten out of my teens and into my twenties, I haven't purchased sports jerseys nearly as much as I used to, but you can mark this: I will NEVER buy a piece of team merchandise with a sponsor on it. (and no, Nike/Reebok/Adidas don't count - they are manufacturers, not sponsors).

What? How is Nike or Reebok NOT a sponsor? More often than not they have signage in the facility. Plus, they PAY

a)team X

b)university Y

c)league Z (Ever notice that "Reebok" is on the dasher boards for over the red and blue lines?)
