seahawk9
With the exception of the Jaguars, who play Monday night, thoughts on how the new NFL uniforms look on the field...Lions look good. Logo looks 100% better, seems to pop out more. The helmet stripes is too thin though. Looks whimpy. Needs to be the same width as the pant stripes. Is that a new shade of Honolulu blue again ? Looks brighter.49ers also look better. The color of pants and helmet do not match though. They must be using the old SF helmet logo on the new helmet as the color of red on the logo does not match the helmet stripe red color.Browns brown pants look better as they are wearing white socks with the same jersey sleeve stripe on them. Proc
I was at the Lions game. The helmets are definetely brighter. I like the shade of Honolulu blue on the new uniforms. The number font is growing on me. The new logo is being pushed on merchandise big time. They even had a merchandise stand outside (that was doing a brisk business) setup on the street between Ford Field and Comerica Park.

cheo25
I like the idea of brown Cleveland pants. But they really need some stripes.

Billy B
The Lions logo is much better, but the helmet stripe looks too thin. I don't really have a preference either day on the new numbers. The 49ers are so close, but the couple tweaks they need to make stand out a lot to me. They either need to drop the black from the logo or use it more in the whole uniform. I like the new red better, they just need gold outlines on the numbers and stripes. And I love the new pants. But that gray facemask just stands out from everything else. A red facemask would be so much better. The Browns' brown pants are okay. Putting stripes on the side and I would love these. BlueSky
The Lions looked good. The new shade of blue works. Is it the same as their throwbacks? Sure looks that way on TV. The helmet stripe looks too narrow and that font will take some getting used to but they looked better than I expected they would. The Browns looked refreshingly old-school. The one thing they CANNOT do is wear brown socks with those pants. If they keep the white, striped socks, thumbs up.San Francisco? Meh. Almost a 'who cares' given the way they mishmashed their previous looks.

VandyDelphia Mike
The Lions, when viewed from a distance, don't look all too different. That's probably intentional. Oh, and no more Copperplate end zones at Ford Field.Makes one wish that the Eagles had done a similar switch when they changed logos in the mid-90s. There is nothing wrong with Kelly Green and Silver, with black as a tertiary color. I've seen my share of concepts on these forums that do the current uniform in the old colors. IMHO, the Eagles probably would not able to get away with such a change now, as the current design has stuck with the new colors for at least 13 years. chestnutz
Not new, but Philly wore their white jersey with white pants for the first time in a long time, I think maybe the year before they went to the super bowl (the only time I can think off the top of my head when they wore that combo was in the first game of the season against the Buccaneers on MNF like 5 years ago). I've always loved when they go all white and hope they do it more.

The green pants are ok, but too dark. The all white is sharp. Like others have said, I would like to see silver pants brought back, even just as an alternate option. SmoothieX
Philly has typically worn all white in the preseason the past couple years.I can't stand that look, as I'm an anti-all-white football uniform guy.The white jersey over green pants is one of my all time favorite road unis. Since they modified their uniform for the 2003 season, they've worn the white on white in the preseason (not exclusively, but most of the time.) I'm not sure if they actually wore it in a game since first two of '03, but if so it was only once or twice.Prior to the '03 mods ('96 - '02) they mostly wore white on white on the road, with white on green during road night games. Those green pants had only a single solid black stripe, and looked really bad. The current greens are far superior.
chestnutz
Ahhh that's right, I remember them wearing the white a bunch during pre-season.While we're on the topic of Eagles: I love their black jerseys, anyone know if they're wearing them this year? Most people hate them, but I think they look pretty badass.
