nybatt
seems the entire giants team is in the new fabric/style/built jerseys... a few thoughts:THE BAD:*shorter 'sleeves', even on the receivers. whatever sleeve fabric that did exist has almost completely disappeared*unfortunately players not in the best shape are getting 'squeezed' in the form-fitting jerseys (see jeff feagles)*the nfl equipment shield is too obtrusiveTHE GOOD:*no red triangle on the neckline makes the jersey appear more like it did in the 50's and 60's with no red at all*glad the 'ny' logo/wordmark has reappeared (it was absent from the few re-designed road jerseys worn last year)*the thinner letters on the name are different and unique*i don't think the players names are on a nameplate as I noticed kevin boothe's 'b', and only the 'b', was coming off*my favorite feature of the new jersey is the 'opaqueness' of the reebok logo, rendering it almost not visible... looking forward to the road red next weekend! It has always been white on the blue jersey, it stood out so much, the jersey looks so much cleaner with the darker mark.

BRice16
I think these look terrible. There should be a rule that no pads should be visible, they should be completely covered by the jersey. I'm also not really interested in seeing these guys' pits.

If this keeps up, eventually the equipment managers are going to end up vaccuum-sealing the jerseys to both the player's bodies and pads all at once. BRice16
Seriously, at least half of the Giants have pads exposed. Awful.

fkaKrock5cent
I LIKE this move. I think the tight uniforms are better for the players because they prevent holding and force players to use their bodies more when tackling as opposed to grabbing at jersey. The blue rbk logo is a nice touch as well. In other words, get over it guys. Playing good > Looking good.
BigDmo
So is every team getting these new mesh like uniforms?
oddball
I have a question not watching any of the preseason games for more than 5 seconds, have the Captain patches been removed or has Eli been demoted or do they only do those during the regular season? FiddySicks
The new "prototype" jerseys the Giants are wearing look VASTLY different then the jerseys they wore before. The style of the jersey is exactly the same as before (Minus one small detail I'll get to later), so that's not the difference, but there's something about the look that shows a pretty noticeable difference. On the whites I could barely tell the difference between the old jerseys and the prototypes, but the blues really stand out. I actually think the form fitting look makes the Giants set look a lot better. That and the Blue seems much more pronounced. The only thing I don't like is that they removed the red triangle where the NFL Equipment logo used to be and dropped it down an inch or so. The reason I don't like that is because it gives the home jersey the exact same problem as the road jersey in that it's completely devoid of one of their primary colors. Luckily though the rest of the set helps compensate really well, and both of the jerseys look really good anyway so it's not too big of a problem. Sodboy13
The one on the right looks like a piece of clothing. The one on the left looks some sort of molded apparatus. Which, when you think about it, is probably the next natural progression: protective pads molded together into a full chest covering, with team and player-specific designs.I understand the utility behind this. But that doesn't mean I have to like the look.

But that doesn't mean I have to like the look.Get ready for it however - Reebok is going to pitch it to "all" teams and the losers in this, are the teams with the wide sleeve stripes (Browns, Steelers). The 49ers butchered their jerseys with the truncated sleeve stripes... This new style will circulate among all 32 teams, where the uniform is now mapped to the body for an even tighter fit. Teams with very little or nothing on the sleeves such as the Raiders can easily make the transition. Whereas teams like the Bears are caught in an impasse with this new fit. It also means the numbers are stretched as the uniform is being mapped to the body. Sleeves are almost becoming extinct.

And the guys like feagles who are out of shape and look bad in these, need to shave a pound or two anyway, maybe this will be motivation for him
