"Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be eaten. Every morning in Africa, a lion wakes up. It knows it must outrun the slowest gazelle or it will starve. It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle. When the sun comes up, you'd better be running." - Unknown | 🌐 Check out my articles on jerseys at Bacon Sports 🔗

I realize this Raiders-49ers rivalry thing is now scraping the bottom of the barrel. Nevertheless:

Kwame Harris:

Terry Kirby:

Jeremy Newberry:

Rick Mirer was also a 49er and Raider, but apparently no pictures of him as a 49er exist.

You also forgot Charlie Garner, but I can't for the life of me find a pic of him in a Niners uni.

Now that we've run out of steam and resorted to some really questionable "rivalries", here might be the thread ender; the ultimate in what it was intended for. With college transfers, usually a guy goes somewhere significantly smaller where he can get more playing time, or that fits his personal life better. Keeping in mind that college rivalries generally mean more to players than professional ones, has a college player ever jumped to the other side of such an undeniable rivalry as this guy?

The answer to that question is yes...though it may not have been known by anyone outside the state of Florida.

Photographic evidence has proven elusive, but I clearly remember this...RB Vannez Gooch, highly touted tailback out of Jacksonville, FL, commits to Florida State. Stays there for two years. Transfers out of there due to lack of PT...and Seminole fans know how FSU used to stockpile RB's like nobody's business. So where'd this guy end up? In Gainesville, on the Florida Gators squad.

(To make it so bad, this guy quite literally crossed the line here when he made that move...aside from crossing the UF/FSU rivalry line, this guy also crossed the line of scrimmage, having converted to safety after converting to a Gator.)

*Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff. 😁

(Never played for City I know, but it doesn't say they have to have played on both sides of a rivalry)

Eric Cantona

Wow. I hate to even try following that, but somebody has to.

Are we counting close calls? In a bar one night in 1946, Yankees GM Larry MacPhail and Red Sox owner Tom Yawkey traded Joe DiMaggio for Ted Williams, straight up. Reports were that Yawkey regretted it in the morning and backed out.

Darren Sharper

Couldn't find a game pic but I like this one. He had some serious hits vs. the Bengals. Popped one guy and caused a fumble, then left L(can't spell the rest) Coles laid out a couple of plays later.

Yup, he's a good player. It was tough to see him leave Minnesota.
