IronChefShark
Wa takshino key yoku gatashka naraba we have not had an Iron Crossover battle for quite some time. The main reason for this was because of the number of different challenges taken place recently. Having entered the first Wafflebowl, and with my own concepts up for voting in YHollander's challenge, I felt it was as good a time as any to bust out another Iron Crossover!deadline is Wednesday, April 7th at 9pm pacific time/12 midnight eastern. This is of course, pending whether or not I will be attending a Sharks playoff game that night! this is our 15th Iron Crossover. I selected this theme at random, as I thought it would be a good one for you guys to use. Kyoono tema wa kore desu!..........this battle's theme is...........PHOENIX COYOTES (NHL) and BASKETBALL!ALLEZ CUISINE!!Iron Crossover Battle Guidelines<---- please read if you are a new combatant. If youre not a new combatant, you still might need a refresher course!
IronChefShark
oh almost forgot, (this ones gonna be popular with a lot of you)as most of you know, the IC battle guidelines state that while the home and away uniforms must utilize current team identity schemes only, that the alternate if you choose to make one may be a herritage uniform.and not just for this battle, but for all other battles, that "herritage" identities not only include past colors and logos, but also the team's former home city and name, if applicable. pittunited
Pittunited presents three uniforms:Phoenix Coyotes basketball (copy/paste)First, the white home uniform. I was originally going to do this with a sand base instead of white, but I changed my mind. It looked too blah.Second, the brick-colored away uniform, with accents of sand and white. Using both light colors creates more energy in the uniform. Finally, an alternate based on the uniforms the Coyotes ditched over this past summer. Call me a freak, but I always liked their combination of colors, even if their unis were basically the "Cosby sweaters" of the NHL. I even put the snaggletooth design around the collar, arm holes, and shorts waistband... and let me tell you, that was a b**** to do.Ready for judgment. Joshawaggie
Well I'm gonna enter my first battle, I haven't made any jerseys in a LONG time.. Roger was right, there were only a few ways to go about this.. i was workin on one like his, I hope you don't mind Roger I used your template with the Wordmark on it, I changed most of it to what I was gonna do, and made an alternate:Coyotes Basketball.. Phil
ahhh the jets shall fly again... basketball wise anyway... i got some time tonight as i dont have any plans yet.... though the peg and bball dont mix... as proen by the winnipeg Thunder from many many many years back Hey, the Thunder were one of the few teams in the doomed league that did well...it's the Cyclones that faded to black....and the Winnipeg Thunder are making a comeback in the new NABA... watch for a msg board exclusive release coming soon. Lee.
ahhh the jets shall fly again... basketball wise anyway... i got some time tonight as i dont have any plans yet.... though the peg and bball dont mix... as proen by the winnipeg Thunder from many many many years back How quickly we forget the Winnipeg Cyclone of the IBA. I helped out at a game once, selling programs for some charity, my selling point was "You can't spell basketball without IBA!!!"BTW, the Thunder didn't do bad...we averaged about 4-5000 a game in the Arena...when we played Dayton for one of the "championships" we put about 8000 into that place...and for minor league hoops, that ain't bad. Evan
I still wanted to enter and refused to use a wordmark for the current coyotes scheme. Why? I needed to stand out somehow. I added a good ol, throwback for your viewing pleasure also.
Shmee
First Iron Crossover. First Crossover, Period. First Basketball Jersey. First not-hockey jersey. If it's too much like a hockey jersey (which I kind of thought would be okay since it's based on a hockey team's identity) then that's why. I used this template because I didn't know where I could get a blank version of the one that R"T"C used. If anyone has a link please let me know. Also, I apologize for the poor image quality, but my PSP8.0 decided to spaz and I had to save in MS Paint.Phoenix Coyotes Basketball Crossover
aengre
I still wanted to enter and refused to use a wordmark for the current coyotes scheme. Why? I needed to stand out somehow. I added a good ol, throwback for your viewing pleasure also. I was gonna try my hand at this and racked my brain to see what I could do to differ my entry from the rest, went to grab the logos, and didn't want a wordmark either. So, this is similar in idea, but much better done than I probably would've come up with. Next time...I move quicker.Great job, Evan.
