2010 MLB New Logos, Uniforms, Patches

But it would be a step in the right direction....

If they must have black to sell jerseys, limit it to the all-black alts. Don't let it infect two otherwise near-perfect jerseys.

Fair enough. Either way, losing the piping on the snow white jerseys is a bad move.

The Mets need to lose the pinstripes. NY baseball and pinstripes, well that look is already spoken for. The best Mets uniform is, in my opinion, the "snow white" look, when they wear it with the traditional blue cap/orange NY hat.

As for the Yankees logo, it's just me but I think I prefer the jersey version. It seems less "flimsy" then the print and cap logos.

don't take offense to this, but that argument drives me INSANE. the mets have worn a pinstripe uniform since their inception in 1962. as a die hard mets fan, i does not bother me in the slightest that the yankees have pinstripes and so do we.

Yes, the Mets have worn pinstripes for as long as they've been around, but the whole thing just doesn't sit right with me. The Yankees' uniforms are the quintessential pinstriped baseball uniform, in my opinion. Other teams can get away with it, but the Mets share a market with them, so they should probably stay clear.

To use a hockey analogy, it would be like a second team setting up shop in Montreal and using the Habs' chest stripes. Just my $0.02 though.

I think the Mets are just as entitled to pinstripes as the Yankees at this point. Won two championships in them, after all. Besides, there's no single claim to pinstripes in Chicago, and both teams in Los Angeles go without them. I don't think anyone has ever confused a Yankee for a Met.

Yes, but neither the White Sox or Cubs, from my vantage point anyway, are as synonymous with pinstripes as the Yankees are.

Likewise neither the Dodgers or Angels are synonymous with the sans-pinstriped look, so both teams going without them works.

Right, they've gotta get back to blue and orange first.

I must be the only person in the world who thinks they should use that script.

I don't know why they stopped wearing that. It's easily their best road script.

2008 will always be my favorite.

It helps that the phillies won it that year lol but aside from that it was a great logo.

This years is good too, hell i'd say 3 very good world series logos in a row, but I would like a baseball diamond behind the logo.

The Giants are wearing their alternate orange billed caps at home with the regular home cream jerseys. They look absolutely awful.

Rays will wear their light blue alts for the 1st time against the Yankees

BTW, game's on TBS outside Tampa and NYC market.

I think it looked pretty cool:

Who here agrees with me that:

1. The names should be navy blue with white trim, instead of the other way around?

2. They should pair the jerseys with light blue pants and make that the road uniform?

I like those Rays jerseys on their own, but there's something about the whole package that doesn't look right to me. It's kind of like a football uniform where all three elements are different colors and it looks unbalanced. Or that the jersey looks too light to look good with white pants. Something about them just looks wrong.

1. I think I might like it better if they made the numbers white with blue trim to match the names.

2. Yes, this idea intrigues me. All the gray road uniforms in baseball are boring as hell.

Doesn't matter to me if they are blue or white, but I think the name and number should match in this case. It only works on a white jersey in my opinion, like with the Braves
