NFL Power Rankings '09

The NFC North combined has the weakest schedule thanks to Minny, The Pack and the Bears all playing the Lions and playing the NFC West & AFC North, The lions have the hardest schedule out of the NFC North because they play all the last place teams in the NFC (New Orleans 8-8. Washington 8-8) both finished last in their respective divisions.

the AFC North has 3 good teams does it not?

Based on last year's win percentage no this is what they base the schedule on.

True that. The Bengals without Carson Palmer—as they were in '08—are a much different team than the Bengals with Carson Palmer. Cedric Benson (Cedric Benson! Of all people!) leading the league in rushing doesn't hurt a thing, either.

Sigs are for sissies.

Saintsfan's post week 6 power rankings

1 New Orleans Saints

2 Indianapolis Colts

3 New York Giants

4 Denver Broncos

5 New England Patriots

(Bubbling under Chargers, Steelers, Vikings, Falcons, Ravens)

Bottom 5

32 St Louis Rams

31 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

30 Cleveland Browns

29 Washington Redskins

28 Tennessee Titans

(Staring over the presipice Panthers, Chiefs, Lions, Raiders, Bills)

Notes- I was undecided about pushing the Colts above the Giants, but made the move as the Colts have been very strong before there bye. The Saints win makes them an abvious number 1 now. Also at the top, the Broncos do weem the real deal after another good win. The Patriots move up into the top 5, possibly controversially, but there but since the defeat to the Jets in week 2, they have gone 3-1 with the only defeat coming against an unbeaten team. The Vikings have slipped out of the top 5, mainly because they have lost a few close games.

At the bottom, tne Skins and Titans can't deny they are baaaaaad at the moment. There are perhaps 7 or 8 teams who could easily deserve to be in the bottom 5.

NEP's Week 7 Power Rankings

(3)1. Saints: Saints proved to the Giants that they are the team to beat in the NFC take notes Vikings.

(2)2. Vikings: Who do these guys think they are the 98' Vikings their pass defense has been atrocious the last couple of weeks and this needs to be fixed.

(5)3. Broncos: They have a four game hold on the AFC West heading into a much deserved Bye Week congrats Broncos you had many doubting you but it looks like you've produced great football.

(4)4. Colts: They could really be 9-0 heading into their yearly tilt against probably their biggest Rival the Patriots.

(1)5. Giants: Giants looked way off against the Saints not usual Giant Football now they have the high flying Cardinals coming into Giants Stadium.

(8)6. Falcons: The Falcons looked really shaky at some points in their game against the Bears but got it done they still have some things they need to work on but this team looks to be for real.

(9)7. Patriots: The 2007 Patriots are back albeit just for one game but the 59-0 slaughtering of the Titans show what firepower these guys have when they get pissed off.

(NR)8. Steelers: Looks like there back from there little lapse they had now the undefeated Vikings come to Heinz Field.

(7)9. Bengals: Did they fall back to Earth of is it just one of those weeks? Now they have the reeling Bears coming into town.

(6)10. Eagles: Boy they looked horrible on Sunday especially coming against the Raiders McNabb was sacked 6 times and hit a countless number you don't need that to happen again to an injury prone Quarterback.

-----------------------------------------------------------

11. Packers

12. Bears

13. Niners

14. Cowboys

15. Texans

-----------------------------------------------------------

(31)28. Raiders: They showed that defense that is very underrated it's too bad their offense can't be that way.

(NR)29. Lions: Stafford's hurt now Culpepper's hurt 1-15 is better then 0-16

(28)30. Titans: Injuries to the defense and Kerry Collins bad play has led to this downfall and it's not all Jeff Fisher's fault.

(30)T31. Buccaneers: They seem to be getting closer and closer to a victory, Josh Johnson hasn't played all that bad just some bad decisions I think he could be the QB of the future in Tampa Bay.

(29)T31. Browns: They held in with the Steelers for about a half Derek Anderson is playing horrible, Brady Quinn could be getting another call to come back and play Quarterback.

(32)32. Rams: Just like the Bucs they're getting closer and closer to victory and it could be Week 9 against the Lions where they can break this losing streak.

Key Week 7 Games

Vikings @ Steelers

Falcons @ Cowboys

Cardinals @ Giants

Saintsfans post week 7 power rankings

1st Indianapolis Colts

2nd New Orleans Saints

3rd Denver Broncos

4th New York Giants

5th New England Patriots

(Bubbling under- Eagles, Vikings, Chargers, Steelers, Ravens)

bottom 5

32nd St Louis Rams

31st Tampa Bay Buccaneers

30th Cleveland Browns

29th Tennessee Titans

28th Washington Redskins

(Starring over the precipice Lions, Bills, Raiders, Panthers, Chiefs)

Notes- I have nudged the Colts ahead of the Saints, despite the Saints comeback (after all they conceded a bag full of points). The Colts have been pretty untroubled this year. The Giants have slipped behind the resting Broncos, at least for now. Not much change at the bottom, but as the 'skins were competitive against the Iggles, I have switched Washington with the Titans.

McCarthy -- How the hell do you not have New England in your top ten?

accident. I had them at 6 then went to move them up and forgot to paste them back in. It's fixed the way I originally wanted it.
