Morency suspended indefinately.

I remember when Pascal Morency played for the Flint Generals several years ago. Guess he's got his 15:00 of fame. <_<

I remember when he played for the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles back in 2002 and managed to pull of 596 PIMs in only 64 games. Probably the most popular Eagle that year, even more so than Fleury.

No surprises there maybe except Carolina vs. Atlanta and Boston vs. Montreal and those aren't even set.

The schedule is set. Certain markets will get different games.

I'm pretty sure NBC's still flex scheduling one game into a national telecast.

And by flex scheduling I mean whatever game they have for the Penguins, Rangers, and Red Wings

Correct, 3241, only one game will be selected for broadcast.

Dion Phaneuf lights up Kyle Okposo:

Watch Morency jump off the bench to protect his teammate...

He had to be taken off on a stretcher. I don't think it was dirty though. Here's hoping he is OK, even if he is an Islander...

Man, what a hit, it was like he was doing WWE style moves there.

Pierre LeBrun Wants 30 Teams But his proposition is messed.

Oh great, ESPN has become this board. Tomorrow, Scott Van Pelt will tearfully declare that he is a Cardinal.

SVP is just a terrapin.

More issues for the Isles

Hempstead Town board members -- who hold the future of the proposed Lighthouse project in their hands -- say there's almost no chance the zoning application for the megaproject will be decided by Oct. 3 -- the start of the new hockey season and the "certainty" date set by project principal and New York Islanders owner Charles Wang.

All seven board members said Wednesday they were still awaiting answers to many of the issues raised at Tuesday's contentious zoning hearing.

Wang, his partner Scott Rechler and their consultants sparred with board members over issues including traffic, water, job estimates and density. As proposed, the development would be the most dense of any community on Long Island.

Republican Town Supervisor Kate Murray and GOP Councilman Edward Ambrosino Wednesday made light of Wang's deadline.

"We don't give Mr. Wang deadlines on bringing the Stanley Cup back to Long Island, and we don't respond to developers' timetables for zoning decisions," Murray said.

And Ambrosino said he found it ironic "that the developer has been demanding certainty" but hadn't provided the town the certainty it had sought on such details as the specific number of buildings.

Wang, who declined to comment for this story, has said that on Oct. 4 he will not stop working with the town but will start to entertain other options for the hockey team. Sources have said eight other cities have expressed interest.

What no Seattle? Even the ESPN NHL people think Seattle deserves a team. :D

And I agree with them. Now if only there was some kind of ownership group willing to invest in such a project. I have a hard time believing it wouldn't work out in a traditional hockey market such as Seattle.
