SPORTSDOCTOR
why there are still name plates being used by a few MLB clubs - and why in this day and age do the majority of teams give the green light to the revolting looking under arm 'flex' fabric that makes all the teams that use this crud (and especially any team with a pinstriped uniform top) look awful? Are the Yankees the only team in MLB with the sense enough to say "NO" to this stuff? (Talking about the under arm thingie).
STL FANATIC
It's not about flexibility it's about ventilation. Keeps the players cooler in some blazing heat. Don't see why that's so bad. Don't see why that's so bad.I don't care if its about ventilation - obviously its about ventilation - but aesthetically it looks hideously bad.Are we to think the Yankees care less about ventilating their players than my hometown Rockies do? Those are as ugly an eyesore on a Major League uniform as anything I can think of.As for the other guy - there is only 1 SportsDoctor on Sirius/XM Radio...and Ray Lane doesn't live there. Do any of the other teams that use a Raglan template like the Yankees (Cubs for example) use coolbase? I'm not sure I've seen coolbase jerseys in that template - only the set-in sleeve one (like the White Sox and Phillies.)why there are still name plates being used by a few MLB clubsThe same reason 29 teams have grey road unis...I'm not sure I follow... there are far fewer than 29 teams that still use nameplates. SPORTSDOCTOR
If anyone thinks that the 'ventilation' under arm atrocity looks bad on television - you should see it up close and personal inside a Major League clubhouse. It looks so amateurish and something that a little league team would wear - NOT representative of Major League standards IMO.

SPORTSDOCTOR
I agree completely. If the common fan could see the cool base uniform texture they would be shocked. It looks so flimsy, so cheap...what are major League uniforms coming too!!!!???
