Audiodrama
Seriously, Red Sox Nation? Y'all wanna dump Papelbon? A proven closer who is a workhorse for a kid you think might be ready to step into the role? For real?Screw having the best players, let's just have 25 guys the fans think they like! Right? Why not? The reason Bard was brought up was to groom him to be the next closer when Papelbon leaves when his contract is up. Why not trade Papelbon now and get something, rather than letting him walk? His return might never be higher than right now. The man doesn't even want to be in Boston, so why not grant him his wish? Why not, you ask? The reason's very simple: Bard's not ready yet. He might be after this coming season, but I've seen nothing to show me that he's capable of handling the closer role at this time.
njmeadowlanders
Seattle signs Griffey for another year...making him a 4 decade player (not technically but 80's 90's 00's 10's is close enough).
BrySmalls
Bobby Valentine? Really? What is Tommy Lasorda not available? What haven't they tried to get in contact with Earl Weaver or try and dig up Billy Martin? Valentine? Really? There has to be some fresh blood out there somewhere that will give you more than Valentine or Riggleman. And heck, new blood comes cheaper too! Riggleman, is well Riggleman. Valentine, you're overpaying for a loud obnoxious horse's behind. Hell, if you want that, you could probably hire Tony Bernazard for really cheap.Well oddball, the Nationals must have read your resentment against Bobby V. and have elected to go with Riggleman for the 2010 Season. Jigga
Is that a joke? Or a misprint? Please?????C'mon Nationals! See, this is why y'all are the muthafuggin laughingstock of MLB. You already had a manager capable of guiding you to a .444 win percentage! Remember Manny Acta, you know the dude you fired in July? At least Bobby V has a track record of winning...and the dude entertains. Certainly can't say either about Riggleman. Although the 33-41 record he led the GNats to down the stretch was as good as they've ever been in their last 74 games...which says soooooooo much about that franchise. njmeadowlanders
Jeff Francoeur will be back with the Mets in 2010. I have to admit he was much better for them than I ever could've imagined he would be...
GFB
The rumors are flying here in Detroit. Curtis Granderson and Edwin Jackson appear to be trade bait. In fact, the whole damn team seems available outside of:- Miguel Cabrera- Justin Verlander- Rick PorcelloI can tell you what, if the Tigers trade Curtis Granderson, it better be one helluva deal. Even if we get a bunch of prospects who COULD be decent in return, the city of Detroit would riot. Grandy is a great ballplayer and an even better person. Now if only we could do something about the 18 million Singlio Ordonez will be earning...
