jtthasportfreak
Neither of Baltimore's current major pro sports teams originated in Baltimore. That isn't the strange part...this is:We all know the Ravens are a relocated franchise that used to be the known as the Browns. Lesser known is that the Baltimore Orioles are also a relocated franchise that also used to be known as...wait for it...the Browns. Also, if it wasn't for the outbreak of World War II, the St. Louis Browns would have been in LA, beating the Dodgers and Giants by more than 15 years. The St. Louis Browns once held Spring Training in Burbank at Olive Park. Also, the word "gunslinger" should appear appear somewhere in there as well.----------------------------------------The Pontiac Silverdome was sold for $583,000. Not $5.83 million, but five hundred eighty-three thousand dollars. 35 years ago, it took $55 million of public funds to build the dome. According to The Detroit News, just a year ago a sale of the dome for $20 million fell through. Truly sad, no joking necessary.
