Zydrunas Ilgauskas has outlasted the following (of his '96 Draft Classmates) in the NBA:

-Allen Iverson

-Antoine Walker

-Stephon Marbury

-Kerry Kittles

Just to name a few. (How many of you would've bet on that happening?)

Brett Favre has "thrown" 313 career interceptions, none of which is he even partially responsible for in any, way, shape or form.

Of course he isn't responsible. He is just playing because he loves the game like a little kid and is trying to make things happen.

Neither of Baltimore's current major pro sports teams originated in Baltimore. That isn't the strange part...this is:

We all know the Ravens are a relocated franchise that used to be the known as the Browns. Lesser known is that the Baltimore Orioles are also a relocated franchise that also used to be known as...wait for it...the Browns.

Also, if it wasn't for the outbreak of World War II, the St. Louis Browns would have been in LA, beating the Dodgers and Giants by more than 15 years.

The St. Louis Browns once held Spring Training in Burbank at Olive Park.

You're supposed to use the exact phrase "child-like enthusiasm" when referring to Brett "playing for the love of the game". Also, the word "gunslinger" should appear appear somewhere in there as well.

----------------------------------------

The Pontiac Silverdome was sold for $583,000. Not $5.83 million, but five hundred eighty-three thousand dollars. 35 years ago, it took $55 million of public funds to build the dome. According to The Detroit News, just a year ago a sale of the dome for $20 million fell through.

Truly sad, no joking necessary.

Sorry. You're right. I tried to find the e-mail with the memo attached, but I think I deleted it.

The Cleveland Browns and Lions are the only two teams that existed in all 43 yeras of the Super Bowl and never made it to one.

actually, it's only the Lions. The Browns took a three year "hiatus" from 1996 through 1998.

From the Wall Street Journal-

The winning bidder was a family-owned Canadian company who plans to convert the arena into a men?s and women?s professional soccer facility, according to the city?s announcement.

Detroit looking for an MLS expansion team? My concept from a few years ago may come true!
