Getting conflicting reports on how interested the Pac-12 is in Saint Mary's and Grand Canyon...

As has been mentioned earlier, the drawback of Saint Mary's is that, despite being a basketball titan as of late, the school, its facilities and its city are TINY.  Not to mention, will the Gaels still be a basketball power whenever Randy Bennett retires?

Grand Canyon, on the other hand, has been growing by leaps and bounds, is in a major metropolitan area (the Pac has wanted to be back in greater Phoenix ever since ASU left)...and most importantly, I believe they could add and maintain a football team if they wanted to.

I know they were exploring an option to field a football team in the past. But they don’t have the room for a football field unless they convert the soccer field into a football stadium.

At this point in college athletics, the Pac12 should just add University of Phoenix and University of Southern New Hampshire. Hell, bring back Devry and ITT Tech locations and flesh out a whole division if you really don't care that much about anything besides an extra million or two on your tv contracts.

Do they plan on moving basketball to Golden 1?  Because I've seen convenience stores larger than their gym.

Well it looks like the Kings could give them the OK for SSU to use the Golden 1 https://www.cbsnews.com/sacramento/news/sacramento-kings-g1c-sacramento-state-pac-12-push/

Is that a new stadium or a renovation of the current one?
