paynomind
This one (Moscow 2012 Bid) strikes me as looking like it is flipping me off...This one is cool, even though I'm not sure what it is.Holy excessive MSPaint usage!http://www.aldaver.com/Images/lg2012bp.gifNothing better than an animated logo.Does EVERY city-with-nothing-else-to-brag-about build a needle/tower so it can be in every damn logo? nitroseed
You have GOT to be kidding me. I can't believe I went to college for four years to study graphic design and become a professional when there are absolute amateurs that apparently know next to nothing about design that are being commissioned to design logos for the OLYMPICS!The ones for Reno, Salzburg and Andorra are quite possibly some of the worst logos I've ever seen and they're being used in association with the Olympics... Are there any REAL DESIGNERS doing any logo work these days??
hrivnak
I wouldn't neccessarily trust that all these bids and logos are accurate. I'm sure a lot of them are, but the 2012 Pittsburgh "bid" was really just a school project by some Carnegie Mellon student that's been mistaken for an actual bid. The site's been around for years (since I was a student at Pitt) and hasn't even been updated (it's pre PNC Park, Heinz Field... it refers to Three Rivers and Pitt Stadium, neither of which exist any more). There are MUCH worse on this site.Salzburg - looks like it sou;d be for a Jazz-Fest or something. The type is horrible.Andorra.. without a doubt, the worst excuse for a logo ever. Powerpoint/frontpage anyone?

Salt Lake City is the biggest city to host the Winter Olympics to date. That'll change in 2010 when Vancouver hosts it though.Keep in mind that Salt Lake City is also one of the most popular places to ski in the world. Why would Salt Lake getting them be such a shock?
