I haven't followed along with Tank's Minaya hate, but I don't get why people are making fun of it. Does anyone think he hasn't been a horrible GM?

He hasn't been the greatest GM, but the joke is that Tank blames literally all of the Mets' problems on him. Por ejemplo, the Mets had a ton of injuries in 09 and it was Minaya's fault because he didn't hire better trainers.

The other part of the joke is that Minaya actually did a lot of what tNak wanted. Tank wanted to fire Willy Randolph, Minaya fired Willy Randolph. He wanted Johan Santana, Omar got Johan Santana. He wanted K-Rod, Omar got K-Rod. For some reason it was Minaya's fault those guys haven't worked out.

The Mets have a lot of talent, they're simply an underachieving team. How that is solely Omar Minaya's fault is beyond me. Not saying he shouldn't get some blame, because he deserves a lot, but not the Tank level of blame that he's been given.

Welp, another season is just about over in Seattle... Thank god. This was beyond atrocious. They have decent talent, but they couldn't hit the ball if it was the size of a beachball. The pitching outside of King Felix wasn't great either... Hell, Felix himself only had a .500 season on the mound despite being the AL leader in Strikeouts, ERA, Quality Starts and so forth.

Well, let's hope that by this time next year the M's are actually competing for a postseason trip then playing out the string once again.

I can see it already, "2011 Mets: New Faces, Same Old Suck" whaddya think?

It's perfect. We need to make T-shirts and bumper stickers.

I can hear the song now, Meet the New Mets same as the old Mets, its time to fool the fans again.

Yet they signed everyone you wanted them to sign.

Anyway, back to the discussion about teams that are going to be playing next week, the Phillies made it official that Oswalt is going to be the #2 in the playoffs, because (among other things) he's undefeated in his career at CBP. Looking more and more like it's going to be the Reds coming into town next week. Let's get this thing started!

Oswalt was something like 24-1 against Cincinnati in his career before this season, but was 0-2 this year. But he's been scary good these past two months. I'm hoping the series can go to four games so I can go to a playoff game for the first time in my life, (unless of course the Reds sweep!).

Dick Bremer just announced on the Twins' broadcast that the Twins/Rays potential playoff matchup would feature mainly day games, while a potential Yankees/Twins series would primarily be primetime games. This is due to the media's favoring of New York, of course.

This is not important to most people, but I'm sure you anxious Twins fans with playoff tickets can appreciate any information on the times of the playoff games.

Wrong, this being due to the fact that people will actually watch the Yankees games. Don't get it twisted. There's a huge difference.

That's what I tried to imply. The media favors the Yankees because people actually are interested in them.

Ahh, okay. My fault, then.
