Since nobody had any problems with the Rangers, I will move on.

Ottawa Senators

2011: New home and road uniforms are unveiled. They bring back the striping design from the Sens' pre-Edge alternates. A black jersey in the same design is worn as well, almost as often as the regular red home jersey.

2012: A gold alternate jersey is introduced. It is inspired by the original Senators' jerseys.

Put the Circle Sen on the jerseys and you have a complete win.

Except the third. Back to the drawing board for that.

Story B: Red Wings go undefeated and score 100 goals in every game. They also beat a team comprised of Godzilla, the ghost of Abraham Lincoln, 2 Power Rangers and Betty White. Oh, and they played in the middle of Iraq on a military base. In the sand. With no ice. Santa gave them special sand-skates that allowed them to play in shorts and t-shirts in 115 degree weather. Jesus, Zeus and Buddha watched from the sidelines and ate cotton candy.

Two recommendations:

1) Use the side-profile logo on the home and road. It's probably the best current sports logo that's not being used on any of that team's uniforms.

2) Use the team's old number font- the new font (what is it, Arial???) is the pansiest looking sports font in the history of time. It would look wimpy on any jersey, from men's rugby to Timbits girl's soccer. And yes, 'pansiest' is now a word, and that font is its definition.

As someone said, you may also have the wrong gold for the jerseys, but unlike the other comment calling the gold jersey an eyesore, I actually think it would look good on the ice. Nashville's silver shoulders look good, and the Washington Wizards' gold jerseys looked awesome, so I think this one could be great. Not all the time, but a couple times a year. You should probably thicken up the barber pole striping, though, so that it looks a little less busy.

Philadelphia Flyers

2011: The home and road are matching retro-based uniforms. The alternate is black, slightly modified from the original black jerseys.

2012: A new alternate jersey is unveiled. It is off-white, with black and orange striping. The Flyers script is inspired by the old Philadelphia Quakers script.

*There is another Flyers jersey for this project. It will be posted after the Pittsburgh Penguins are unveiled. Stay tuned!

I want to get the rest of this series posted, so I am going to keep on unveiling new teams. There are some bonus concepts at the end, so this project is a little longer than you might think. Feel free to go back and comment on earlier teams, especially the last few.

Phoenix Coyotes

2011: New home and road jerseys that feature a pattern similar to their original jerseys. Black is worn at home. A red alternate is introduced, a simple design with the alternate circle logo.

2012: A sand-colored alternate is unveiled. The paw logo is the crest, very little black is found on the jersey. 2012 appears to be the end of NHL hockey in Phoenix, as rumors of a move north continue to swirl.

Moving right along here...

Pittsburgh Penguins

2011: A new alternate jersey is introduced. It is powder blue, in a design similar to the home and road. The primary logo is used as the crest.

2012: New home and road uniforms are unveiled. They match the powder blue alternate jersey in design. Powder blue is now a permanent part of the color set, showing up in the logo and the piping. A gold alternate jersey is also released. It features a circular logo, based off of the retro logo from the Winter Classic. No powder blue is to be found in the 4th alternate uniform.
