I cant see the letters MW next to each other and not think Call of Duty : Modern Warfare. Thats my opinion

The MW is a bit quirky, but I like it otherwise.

It can be read both the way shown and "upside-down" so it kind of makes sense. I know some stores stock it with the lid on the shelf and others have it with the lid up. Kraft must have noticed this and made a logo to match.

can i have this renamed to supermarket package changes?

i plan on using this thread to post any package changes i see in the supermarket. instead of creating a half of dozen package change threads.

some news ones i found:

Pop Weaver (new one on the bottom, old on the top)

PopWeaver.jpg

Downgrade. Looks too much like a generic product.

Old El Paso

Old

OldElPasoOld.jpg

New

OldElPasoNew.jpg

slight tweak. Darkened the maroon and added a gradient on the tiles. eliminated the gradient on the desert logo. i actually like it

Hefty plates

Old on the left, new on the right

slight tweak. not worse, not better.

some more i ran across

Malibu Pina Colada

MalibuPinaColada.jpg

old on the right new on the left.

minor tweaks.

Kraft BBQ Sauce

KraftBBQSauce.jpg

Old on the right, new on the left

downgrade. The new packaging makes it look like a generic brand.

KC Masterpiece

KCMasterpiece.jpg

old on the left new on the right.

the logos is about the only thing that keeps it looking like its not a generic brand. do however dig the western look to it, which i think is what they were going for.

Betty Crocker Scalloped Potatoes

BCScallopedPotatoes.jpg

new on the left, old on the right.

box is abit jarring nothing really spectacular.

Looking at all of these makes me wonder why Kraft is hellbent on making their products look more store brandish?

I once had a car but I crashed it. I once had a guitar but I smashed it. I once, wait where am I going with this?

trying to compete with store brands? people are probably buying store brands more often in a bad economy.

changing a product to look like a generic store brand isn't going to entice customers to buy that product any more than with the current packaging. when customers see Old El Paso taco Shells for $2 and Great Value taco shells for $1, logic states customers are going to buy the GV product over the name brand. so they can make their products look generic but won't entice customers to buy that product unless the price is comparable to the store brand.

Old on the left, new on the right

bread vendor was in my way so i had a hard time getting a pic of this one. one of the new packages that has come out. the only changes i've seen is on the family sized boxes, but i'm fairly sure the smaller lipton boxes are getting changed too.

Gatorade

Gatorade.jpg

Old on the left, new on the right

seen this for a while. but i really am not digging the gray label. still don't like the bolt-G clip art logo.

Coke

Coke.jpg

Old on the left, new on the right.

This is a case where the packaging itself is new. The label is the same but the bottle design is new.
