Back in May of 1977, the Atlanta Braves were mired in a 16 game losing streak. The owner, Ted Turner decided if you want something done right, do it yourself. He signed himself up as manager of the Braves and promptly led them to their 17th consecutive loss. He would have tried again the next day had not NL president Chub Feeney put a stop to it. Turner's philosophy on managing -" Just score more runs than the other guy"  :D
