Looks like they decided to go straight new-blood with the forwards. Would've liked Johnson in there, but I can dig it. If Buddle brings that red-hot form that he's been on in MLS, this could definitely be a great move. I'm shocked as all hell to see that Findley made it. I suppose it makes sense considering Ching didn't look ready & EJ hasn't made too much of an impact lately. Shame, because a South Africa version of this would've been awesome. :P

But yeah, I'm feeling the roster. Bunch of young'ns in here with a few vets in there as well. Good roster. I think someone on big soccer said it best: These are the 23 best players from the US that actually want to play for the US. Let's pull for em like hell.

Here's hoping the US does not have to resort to using Oguchi Onyewu or Jonathan Bornstein on defense in a critical match.

Further, the US roster doesn't have much depth. I would be heavily concerned if one major injury would occur during the Group Stage.

German National Team beats up on a bunch of kids

Tell me what the point of having your national team whip on a bunch of kids 24-0? Do you need to validate that you can score without Ballack? Really?

Are you :censored: serious German National Team?? Is this how you prepare for the World Cup?

smdh....I hope Germany crashes out of the World Cup in South Africa.

They could have done better to prepare by playing San Marino than that team.

Netherlands 23 man squad.

Goalkeepers: Sander Boschker (FC Twente), Maarten Stekelenburg (Ajax), Michel Vorm (FC Utrecht)

Defenders: Khalid Boulahrouz (Stuttgart), Edson Braafheid (Celtic), John Heitinga (Everton), Joris Mathijsen (Hamburg), Andre Ooijer (PSV Eindhoven), Giovanni van Bronckhorst (Feyenoord), Gregory van der Wiel (Ajax)

Midfielders: Ibrahim Afellay (PSV Eindhoven), Nigel de Jong (Manchester City), Demy de Zeeuw (Ajax), Stijn Schaars (AZ Alkmaar), Wesley Sneijder (Inter Milan), Mark van Bommel (Bayern Munich), Rafael van der Vaart (Real Madrid)

Forwards: Ryan Babel (Liverpool), Eljero Elia (Hamburg), Klaas Jan Huntelaar (AC Milan), Dirk Kuyt (Liverpool), Arjen Robben (Bayern Munich), Robin van Persie (Arsenal)

That forward depth is crazy also so pumped Elia made the squad even if he is coming off the bench 20 minutes of this guy will be fine by me, watch videos of him on youtube.

This man is the future of Dutch Football and of Hamburg's but that's until he finds a home in England or Spain.

That's different, that was colonial retribution. :D Just wait until Brazil vs Portugal in their last group game on June 25th in Durban, that will be a colonial clash of epic proportions .

That's EJ. :P

And yeah, Oranje is deep as hell. If van Persie is healthy & gets into good form, they are gonna be scary.
