Also, UWM students are awesome and the girls know how to party!!!

I agree :D

(But I'm guessing you didn't know that "UWM" always refers to UW-Milwaukee, not UW-Madison.)

Mcrosby - I am from Orange County, CA and I will say that Madison is one of my favorite cities in the US! It's very beautiful (being situation between two lakes) and the Capital dome is incredible.

Some good shots:

And to the user who says Milwaukee doesn't photograph well, how about these:

Actually, these just emphasize what I don't like about Milwaukee's skyline. If you take a shot from the lake, many of the taller buildings fade into the background. The 100 East Wisconsin building is the second tallest in the city, yet its not even visible in half the shots you posted. Taking shots that look out towards the lake somewhat address this, but it also leads to more problems like burying the Milwaukee Art Museum which is the equivalent of not including the Golden Gate Bridge in a shot of San Fran or the Space Needle in a photo of Seattle. Plus you it usually forces you to include the Menominee Valley which... aside from Miller Park and the Casino... is just a bunch of burnt out factories and warehouses.

It's a damn shame because Downtown Milwaukee has lots of interesting architecture that begs to be photographed, it's just impossible to encompass it all in one shot.

ps... Madison > Milwaukee !!!

That depends, are you talking about the cities or just the universities? Of course, Californians tend to prefer Madison being that it pretends to be Berkley and all :P

Having spent 2 weeks in both cities, I will say that Madison is better than Milwaukee by a MILE.

For one: Madison is way more beautiful. I mean, the Capital building there between those two lakes, and then state street itself. Plus it has a laid-back vibe, beautiful girls, an awesome college atmosphere and tons of great food and bars. Being from CA, I thought I'd HATE Wisconsin, but I can honestly say Madison is one of my favorite cities ever.

As for Milwaukee... it is humid, cloudy, moribund, and the city comes in three colors: Rust, Gray and Biege. The only part of the city that is even remotely pleasing aesthetically is when you're walking from that arena where the Bucks play east towards the lake and cross over that bridge that goes above that river. Everything else is just decrepid and gross. Also, the bars are full of fat, sweaty men and Marquette athletes who think they're P Diddy. The chicks are all fat and gross and the food sucks. Milwaukee was honestly one of the worst cities I've ever visited (and I've been to Houston.) Madison takes the cake for sure. Coolest city in WI, and one of the coolest in the country as well!

Say what now ?

No offense, but you sound like the typical tourist... someone who was too lazy to venture past downtown (which everyone whos been here for more than a couple years knows is the LAMEST part of Milwaukee) and wrote off the entire city because of it. The area where you'd run into Marquette students represents a fraction of a fraction of the city and MU itself isn't in the most aesthetically pleasing neighborhood either. I'm pretty sure you didn't visit the Eastside (which is the BEST college area in WI), Riverwest, Brady St, the Third Ward or Bayview... none of which come close to fitting the description you gave.

Granted, I have my share of beefs with this city, as I'm sure everyone else whose been here as long as I have does, but your experience of Milwaukee is clearly limited. Even your description of Madison sounds like someone who never left State Street.

Anyway, I apologize for dragging this off-topic. Back to the sigs!

Illwauk - I did in fact venture to the Eastside (had to buy some threads from American Apparel) and encountered some great looking women (the Eastside is what you have linked under the word "Say", yes?) and I was there for a week (I stayed at the Hilton across from the Bradley Center), as I was there for Northwestern Mutual's annual meeting, but I did spend most of my time on Wisconsin Ave, Water St and Milwaukee St.

I got to explore a fair amount of Milwaukee, from the Eastside, to Downtown, to Miller Park, to the Milwaukee Zoo and elsewhere. And although I bagged on Milwaukee's decrepit feel, I will say this: The Coolest Bar in the :censored:ing World is in Milwaukee - The Safe House. That place was RAD.

ps) And yes, of course I've been to state street! I spent 5 nights in Madison and walked up and down every street in the city. The UW campus, the capital building, the two lake surrounding the city - everything was gorgeous. Heck, I even went to Middleton and Monona. I'd definitely go back!

That being said - :censored: Minneapolis.

Is it possible to use the outline of the stadiums instead cause my two teams I want to use while in Tampa Bay are two different cities.

Tampa Bay Rays and Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Stadiums: Tropicana Field (Rays) and Raymond James Stadium (Bucs)

Logos: Rays and Bucs

Background: 2008 American League Champions (and) Super Bowl XXXVII Champions

I must disagree with you ThePreacher, and agree with Ilwauk. MIlwaukee is a great city, you just have to know where to go. (conejito's place-best Mexican food ever and a beautiful tiny part of town you might never see if you don't know where it is). I still think Madison is better, and a better college town, but Milwaukee has some great stuff-not to mention all of the festivals, State Fair, Summerfest, etc.

McCrosby... With all due respect, I just can't imagine that a place in Wisconsin has the "best" Mexican food ever. I live in Nuevo Mexico aka "Southern California", and having been a former Mexican state with a 40% Latin population, I'd have to say that LA, OC and SD combined probably have the best (see: authentic) Mexican food you've ever seen. And I'm not talking about "Tex Mex" either (Tacos, Nachos, Burritos, etc. etc.) ... I'm talking about queso Oaxaca, cabeza and lengua tamales, menudo, pozole and many other favorites. But hey, I bet that place probably might have the best Mexican food in the Wisconsin =P

ps) I've been to many big cities in the US, and I'm sure Milwaukee has a neighborhood or two and/or a restaurant or two that are pretty cool (as most big cities do), but as a whole, it's just not that impressive. I mean, It's more impressive than, say, Baton Rouge, but it's certainly not a place I'd ever like to visit again... ever. Heck, I bet Baltimore, Cleveland and Detroit even have a nice neighborhood or two, but they're still not desirable places to visit. Madison, on the other hand? I'd go back a hundred times.

Could I get one of these, but just an alteration to the Anaheim one you already did:

AnaheimGrungeSigv2.png

Could I get:

- the Mighty Ducks logo replaced with the Ducks "D" and the Eggplant/Jade replaced with either Black/Orange or Black/Gold

- the Angels logo replaced with just the Angels "A"

- In the skyline, could add in the Honda Center (#1, #2, or #3) and only if it doesn't clutter the thing up too much the Disney Castle and/or Matterhorn (This is mostly since Anaheim doesn't have a particular skyline per say, but if you were to look at the city as a whole, all of these would be easily visible amongst the already included generic office buildings and the Big A. Considering the castle is an Anaheim landmark, and the Matterhorn mountain is the highest point in the city, but again if it is too much going on, you don't have to add the Castle/Mountain)

If you can do that, that would be awesome.

Thanks in advance!

I know right... that'd be like California claiming they have the best milk! :P

Forreal tho... there's no doubt that California has a better selection of places to get real, authentic Mexican. But you could really plunk Conejitos in the heart of East LA and it'd fit right in if not be one of the better spots around (which should answer your question mcrosby :D )

(ps) I've been to many big cities in the US, and I'm sure Milwaukee has a neighborhood or two and/or a restaurant or two that are pretty cool (as most big cities do), but as a whole, it's just not that impressive. I've traveled to quite a few major cities as well and I can tell you that Milwaukee, more than anywhere else I've been is a place where you really need to have someone show who knows the city to you around in order to truly appreciate it. I do a lot of work on the local music scene and often find myself entertaining traveling artists because of it. Literally everyone I've ever shown around remarked about how they never would've guessed that Milwaukee had as much going on as it does.

I'm not expecting you to click over to hotwire.com and book yourself another trip to Milwaukee on my word, but it really does irritate me how the entire city gets judged based on a part of town that those of us who are native rarely ever visit. Aside from the eastside, the places you visited are just an inside joke to anyone whose lived here for more than a couple years. Milwaukee's civic (alleged) leaders are a bunch of clueless baby-boomers who think everything in the city should conform to Garry Marshall's view of it... in other words, the same people who would tell you that Water Street and Milwaukee Ave are the epitome of Milwaukee's nightlife are the same idiots who expected a bronze statue of Fonzie to bring in tourists. I honestly think that if the Milwaukee I live in (the real Milwaukee) were more visible that no one would think to lump us in with Cleveland and Detroit (although, to be fair, I've found Cleveland to be pretty underrated as well).

Well said Ilwauke! And have you ever been to the bar I mentioned...Safe House? I got the password wrong so I had to do 10 jumping jacks and push ups.

...little did I know it was being broadcast on CCTV to the entire bar!

It was fricken rad though man. Big props to Milwaukee for having one of the coolest and most unique bars in the States.
