Old School Fool 4,155 Posted June 25, 2010 Showing off the new court at the draft party.http://tweetphoto.com/28948993I...I think I like it. As a Lakers fan, I always wanted them to go back to a primarily yellow floor but the Warriors of all teams beat us to the punch. I'm disappointed that they did what the Thunder did and used the logo with the script at center court. It should've just been the bridge at center court.
the admiral 28,254 Posted June 25, 2010 Too Lakery. In fact, it's bad. Here, another fix-up to go with my surprisingly well-received primary fix-up:Also worth mentioning is that this Gothamesque type (Nevis?) is fairly close to the type used in the Golden State National Parks signage, which was also co-opted for San Francisco's All-Star Game.
tBBP 2,431 Posted June 25, 2010 Short of the chosen colors, this entire Warriors identity smacks of sucktitude. Just my worthless opinion. But then, I ain't a Warriors fan, so if this is what they want, and if they're happy with it, then what the hell--let 'em have it.

The blue lane and baseline really make the yellow logo stand out.

FiddySicks 11,050 Posted June 25, 2010 So when are we going to actually get to see these supposedly awful uniforms?

jimbojohnny56 0 Posted June 25, 2010 love the yellow court reminds me of the old LA forum.
the admiral 28,254 Posted June 25, 2010 Which would be fine if they were the Lakers. I believe the Warriors have traditionally played on a blue floor.
patsox 66 Posted June 25, 2010 i've never seen the nba logo at halfcourt in that form. when it appears there it's usually accompanied by the nba script, isn't it?
Sport 13,777 Posted June 25, 2010 I like the yellow court. Actually, I prefer simple courts and I'm glad they didn't use the two-tone wood stain floor treatment. I've never seen that look good anywhere.
TFoA 54 Posted June 25, 2010 The logos are okay. I love the fact that they went back to the blue & gold. Their color combination is very easy on the eyes. That, however, is all I'm liking about this new identity. I mean, damn, copperplate? Really? They couldn't have come up with another font or found a better one, so they use copperplate? It's good for everything BUT sports, come on! The uniform is just bad. It's basically the primary logo with a number slapped inside of it. Man. They would've been better off just dusting off the old Chris Mullin-era uniforms and cleaning em up for 2010. Hell, the mid-1960s era uniforms would've been better. This is actually worse! The logos are okay, but the uniforms are a HUGE downgrade.

And your logo tweak is fantastic too, love the font choice.
bayarea510 0 Posted June 25, 2010 Damn...so GS was tellin everyone how the new jerseys would be officially unveiled on draft night. But then they released that page which showed the new logo along with a supposed new jersey last week. Well, the official Warriors webstore at 10pm (actually, like 10:15pm) just went online and they still don't show anything official in the store...just the logo with a "pre-order" thingy. Lame. Where's an actual pic of the new unis? Dammit, I've been a fan of the Warriors and have gone to games since I was a toddler, but I hate the organization as it stands right now. At least a prototype jersey or something. Multi million dollar business still can't do stuff right.
