leggman01 Posted June 24, 2010 Share Posted June 24, 2010 Coker College has a new Cobra...cokercobras.com....solid, but not spectacular work from PDWI'm bummed because I had pitched a logo to them about 2 years ago...we went back and forth for about a month, before they decided they wanted someone "more experienced" - not that my logo was completely unique, but i used city bold for the font and the cobra wrapped around the wordmark, as well...again, not accusing PDW of ripping me, because really, most would go that route...just interestingthis logo is an upgrade over their previous, but nothing spectacular, in my book Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I just think they couldve done better on the wordmark. The opinions I express are mine, and mine only. If they'd already been using city, then there is no reason to change it IMO. Of course alot of people use it so a derivative would have been cool as well. I'm not suggesting a "ripoff" or anything...just saying that I don't like my logos to look this similar from a branding perspective. Well, that and it's basically the same font, same letter, and same colors. Go Gators. Go Blue Raiders. Go Commodores. Go USC Trojans.Preds & Avs. Braves, Rays, & Dodgers.
