CCSLC 2010 NCAA Power Rankings

Lights Out is probably the second most annoying homer on these boards.

I'm the most annoying with my incessant Ohio State homer posts right? :D

Sure...if you want to be. :P

On second thought, I think I'll have to pass on this one. I honestly took a shot at it. But every time I wrote something like "There's one problem with your "Robinson for Heisman" cause, and his name is Terrelle Pryor" I'd crack up laughing.

Week 3 Ballot

1 Alabama

2 Ohio State

3 Oklahoma

4 TCU

5 Oregon

6 Boise State

7 Nebraska

8 Iowa

9 Texas

10 Wisconsin

Here are my big changes this week:

Oklahoma - they've really hit a stride and the way they're playing, they will easily run the Big 12 South, if not challenge for the MNC.

Boise State - the win over Virginia Tech is not looking like much of an accomplishment anymore. Boise will struggle with Oregon State.

Texas - the 'Horns are fundamentally sound, but have struggled against Rice and Wyoming. Without some adjustment I expect UT to have 1-2 losses.

Florida - dropped from rankings; Gators look sloppy. Can still right the ship, but expect them to lose at least 3. Open door for Wisconsin to move up.

All the other teams stayed more or less where they've been; just made some slight shifts relative to the big movers.

Starting with the AP top 15 then using my "would I bet money on this team to beat everyone below them" system.

1. Alabama

2. Oregon

3. Nebraska

4. Ohio State

5. Florida

6. Arkansas

7. Oklahoma

8. Boise State

9. Texas

10. LSU

It is too early for me to really care, but infrared41 makes the correct thoughts (Corky Simpson stuck with it in 1992):

1- The AP vote is better than the Harris Poll or than the USA Today/Coaches poll since they must disclose.

2-There is a difference from "would I bet money on this team to beat everyone below them" or "to bet on a team to cover". However, betting to win and betting to cover are two different bets which "friends of any program", easily know and live by.

pollspeak.com lets you see each AP voter and how they vary from the fellow members.

Not that it matters but since you brought it up.... My system is based on whether or not I'd bet on the team to win the game outright. It's how I decide who to put where.
