Just like the best of the SEC would do to the best of other conferences.I just get tired of all the obligatory hype that ESPN and other sports networks must give to Big 10/12 teams when we know how it all ends...they beat up the poor teams in their conference, get a title shot and get creamed by the SEC champion...with Ohio State being the worst offender (that story gets so old).I think my point was still valid, unless you ignored everything in my post except for the last sentence. Denard is talented but this is his first big rivalry game and test, Though the Hoosiers did that already.+1 on this one.Between that last-second fake field goal pass for the game-winning TD against Notre Dame (clock issue be damned) and last week's balls-of-steel resolve by Sparty's acting head coach to go for it on fourth down several times in that game yesterday in which they ended up beating Wisconsin, I think Sparty's riding on high right now. And Wisconsin isn't exactly a slouch of a team. Boise scored slightly fewer points, but once you get past 40-0, does the margin of victory really matter anymore?If anyone should have dropped, it should have been Ohio State. Not sure if you saw the mentioning of it, but they were a nod to the Air Force Thunderbirds, and the helmet is based off of the Thunderbirds pilot helmets.I saw. I was mad about the bluegrass miracle when it happened when I was a kid, but I'm over it now. It was just another regular season game. Besides, Tennessee is a bigger rival to the Wildcats than the Tigers. I'm really disappointed about Boise State falling to #2. hopefully Alabama and Ohio State will lose soon. Ohio State beat a team from a BCS conference and they have their win against Miami so they didn't lose any ground. Boise State beat a nobody. That's why. Well that and Oregon is just better than Boise State. If you ask me, Oregon should be #2 right now. If the rankings were based solely on defense then yeah Ohio State might have a claim to number two. I assume you missed my ranting about how undisciplined they were playing against Oregon State. I mean, there were even punches thrown - the fighting in the fourth quarter was inexcusable for both teams.And it's fine to say that Oregon should move up based on beating Stanford. But I sure hope you're not planning on using the "body of work" argument anytime soon, because Boise's recent body of work includes two straight wins over Oregon in '08 and '09.
