Conrad. Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 So I was looking for a more creative (than Miami Thrice, which had 2 main characters, not 3) name for Miami's trio of stars and came across "The Bermuda Triangle" which I think is pretty awesome of a name. I was thus inspired to make an encompassing logotype for the nickname:Thoughts? Which is working best? Maybe a combination of some of the treatments here?I see this being on a t-shirt or something, so I wasn't really going for a simple mark. Also, I might try to send one of the marks on the right (w/o the Heat partial) to Zazzle to get me a t-shirt to support the Wagon Band ps: the tilt I gave some of the block text is the same angle at the official wordmarks / numbers... Spectre Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 I see Legron, not Lebron.Agreed. Especially since you're using the 6 as a G in triangle. Excuse my extremely limited basketball knowledge, but what's the significance of the 6 with Lebron?

loogodude90 Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 I like the bottom left one. Pretty creative. WIZARDS ORIOLES CAPITALS RAVENS UNITED

Conrad. Posted July 22, 2010 Author Posted July 22, 2010 thanks for the thoughts, guys...i'll make up a version with the players' names in normal letters to fix the "LEGRON" issue. anyone else agree that the bottom left is the most effective? Red Goat Creations :: Graphic Design Solutions
CDixonDesign Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 Love the combination of numerals in the names, great idea overall!
9erssteve Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 You dont need the repetition of numbers for letters. If you have it in Triangle you dont also need it in their names as well. I know nothing about Basketball, and I managed to figure out what you were inferring with it, until such time as the 6 reappeared where I was expecting a B! Ditch the numbers from the names and only have them in Triangle and you instantly solve that problem. Then after that all I'd suggest is finding a way to get everything to work a little more tightly together. Yeah sure the layout is vaguely reminiscent of a triangle but there's no real interplay between all the lines of type and as a result the piece comes across as a bit static for my liking.9erssteve
Buster Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 I see Legron, not Lebron.This. Use a '6' more like this:
Sport Billy Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 Nice idea, but the "a" in "triangle" is quite distracting. The "a" is not the usual "a" shape. It's combination with the use of numbers as letters leaves me wondering what the "a" is supposed to be.
Panchito Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 This might be a bit cheesy, but you could put the face of LeBron, Wade, and Bosh in the 3 corners of the triangle

phlash Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 I love the idea of stylized 'A', but I agree it was distracting. Try it without it.
kbaker19 Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 I like the italicized version(s) better because that is the actual font the Heat use. Although, I'm going to echo the comments about the 6. I think the A looks fine, also.Maybe if you get it on a shirt, put the names on the back of it, so the 6 being used as a G and a B won't be as easily confused. Thanks Dolphins91 for the jersey avatars.
lenardo Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 i know im gonna look like an idiot here, but is this making fun of them, being that it will be a disaster like the bermuda triangle, or praising them? hopefuly the first one
fishheatcats Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Hehe funny idea, I like the bottom left. I like the Heat style "A", it ties it in with the team more. The Bermuda Triangle already has a place in South Florida sports vocabulary though, that's the triangular shaped spot in center field where fly balls go to die at Sun Life Stadium. Also, my favorites so far for a Wade-Bosh-LeBron nickname are "Trio 5"( Miami's area code 305) and "The Heatles" lol.
