MLB Logo&Uniform changes

UnclearInitial

I think the Nationals' current blue road cap has run its course. In 2009, when they switched to the red script Washington road uniforms, they still made the blue cap fit by wearing blue-sleeved undershirts and blue socks:

It just looked so out of place this season, when they switched the undershirts and socks to red:

So, just go ahead and switch to red caps on the road. They could then use the red alts on the road as well.

The blue alts they have now are a fantastic shade of blue but the stars/stripes in the DC logo is a mess. Put the gold beveling back and leave everything else the same.

Any chance you can give me some hints on what Toronto is doing?

The Jays will be ditching the one thing that most people like about their 2010 look. That's all I'm going to say for now.

Since the Twins just made changes, my guess for them would be:

1. Officially ditch the sleeveless jersey (not even sure why the updated this with wordmark).

2. Officially ditching the M hat (thought Mauer wanted to use it still?).

3. Probably not keeping the 1961 throwbacks (mistake-they rock).

4. Removing the 50th Anniversary and Inaugural Season patches.

Am I close? :)

You're 50% correct with your predictions.

Ah yes, I love this game. I'll take the ones in bold as the two correct ones.

Winner-winner-chicken-dinner?

Nope. Your "bold" predictions are also 50% correct.

1. Ditch the sleeveless.

2. Lose the 50th patch.

3. Keep the throwbacks as an alt.

4. Probably still keep the M hat.

Nice! I have a sleeveless from the first year they came out and they aren't that bad. Problem is that all they are is the home jersey with the sleeves ripped off. Should have used the TC logo on there.

Very surprised on the M hat. Hell, maybe the Twins need to bust them out tonight for good luck.

Awesome on the 1961 throwback being kept. I really like mine and just think it's a classic (I don't care about the "flaws" in the script). Hopefully the Twins will go all out with and get matching jackets and such (like Milwaukee does with their throwbacks).

As for the ChiSox, it's not as drastic as you'd think. No new uniforms, but a slightly odd - and definitely unnecessary - change to one of them.

The Nats are indeed changing their look, but I have yet to see what the changes will be. They're actually doing a good job with keeping it a secret.

And the Red Sox are adding names to their BP unis.

guessing...

- grey bill on the road cap

-"Chicago" logo to be on black road alts

- numbers to be on sleeve, instead of front, on white pinstriped jersey

You mean putting them back. The BP's had NOB from the first red ones (2003?) until they changed to the outgoing Cool Base set in '07.

Interestingly, the Cool Base BP's come with NOB when you order a custom one from MLB Shop, but the actual player ones didn't.
