Not sure if it is true, rumblings that the Royals are taking the Kansas City off the front of road jersey for next season and using generic Royals script. Likely no more powder blue caps or jersey. Names on back being removed is advocated by G.M. Dayton Moore, but not by ownership.

*There IS going to be a change to the road uniform.

*The blue cap is gone.

*Team will still be wearing a baby blue jersey.

That's great.....I liked the royal blue cap with the powder better anyway, they contrast very well IMO

Would Yankee fans be okay with noncolored alternate jerseys? Such as a cream or regular white pinstriped alt with the YANKEES script across the front?

I'm not going to say totally not opposed, but I'm not sure I would support it, either. (It took me 40+ years to get me to the point I am now - see previous page.) Let me mull it over.

Hopefully Kansas City script stays. Maybe ditch white outlines? Maybe add gold outlines?

How some people seem to think that they Phillies should go back to these is absolutely baffling. I'm not wild on the current home uniforms, but they're definitely an upgrade over these.

These > Modern

Nah, I agree with Shumway on this. There's a fine line between "classic" and "dated." The modern Phillies unis have a "classic" feel to them; those rounded-P maroon uniforms have a "dated" feel to them.

Agreed, the only thing I can see is maybe the phillies replacing red with maroon. But yea the 70s-80s unis are dated lookin with the p and racing stripe. I think the phillies have one of the best sets of uniforms in the mlb now (especially with the day alt)

I say keep the current setup, but use a modernized version of these "dated" uniforms as an alternate like how Milwaukee does. If they keep the maroon, lose the thick racing stripes, and thin out the P logo, it'd make for a nice alternate.

"Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be eaten. Every morning in Africa, a lion wakes up. It knows it must outrun the slowest gazelle or it will starve. It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle. When the sun comes up, you'd better be running." - Unknown | 🌐 Check out my articles on jerseys at Bacon Sports 🔗

I really, really hope lots of Mariner fans let the team know how much the teal-billed cap is missed.

I let them know what I thought, but the reply they sent me felt like a brush off.

Mariners are doing some things. So you never know.

O_O Whoa... That would be awesome. :boogie: I know I was greedy for asking them to bring back the old teal alternate cap, but I had to take a shot.

Thank you, Showtime, for giving me some hope about what will happen. :)

The Kansas City script never looked as good on a jersey as it did in print, IMHO. I think that going to Royals on both would actually be an improvement, albeit slight. The light-blue alt just doesn't work with the royal-blue script. Light blue looks good with navy, but IMO the royal is just too close (I know it's not really "close", but it's too close to look good the way they tried.) Gold would work, or white like the old road uniforms.

As a Yankee fan, I'd have to say absolutely not. The only things I'd be in favor of are updating the interlocking NY logo on the home jersey and taking off the white outlines for a rarely used road alternate.

I understand the pinstripes, but why so stubborn about the road set, which is one of the worst in baseball?

All they have to do to fix the powder blue alt is make everything white outlined in royal blue. Easy fix to what's otherwise a really good idea.

I really like the Yankees' road set, 70s white outlines and all.

I think the bigger point is that the New York Yankees just don't do alternate uniforms.

Jays making a uniform change.

Well... ok there isn't much there...

I thank that's an absolutely AWESOME look for the Jays. It reflects the deep snow Toronto gets all summer long perfectly

Don't get too excited: someone else on the board emailed them earlier this season about the teal hat, and got a outright "Not in 2012, but we are always evaluating" reply.

Go Astros!

Go Texans!

Go Rockets!

Go Javelinas!
