Nationals to unveil "major changes" to their uniforms on Nov. 10.

This is apparently the "new" Road uniform

only difference is the arm piping moved all the way to the end of the sleeve

And the H in Washington is now centered on the placket, so no more ridiculous split letter. 2010 model below.

They kept the beveled numbers? :puke:

No, no. If i'm reading correclty, the bottom picture is the old jersey (look at the location of the sleeve stripes). The new jersey is above. The stripes are right on the end, and as the poster noted, the "h" is now centered on the middle column (whatever you call it ) and not split.

Following tweets from Nats' fashion show. Will update as I see them (and pics - or links to pics - ASAP):

* New road cap = blue crown, red bill, Curly W (it IS the road, not an alt -- only two caps now in the set)

* Interlocking DC removed from sleeves. Now the circle patch logo that we saw on new alt

Red alts from fashion show: http://plixi.com/p/56165274

* New home jerseys are a white version of the red alt -- Curly W on left breast with red/blue piping

Here's a pic of all the looks:

I can't tell what's on the left breast of the blue jersey, though

Those are actually pretty cool. The uniform set is now CONSISTENT. Great improvement.

EDIT - Blue alternate.

EDIT #2:

NatsUniBreakdown:

Red Caps

-Home Uniform

-Red Alternate Uniform

Blue Caps w/ Red Brim

-Road Uniform

-Blue Alternate Uniform

Overall, major upgrade. The Nats were successful this go-round, in my opinion.

EDIT #3:

Boy, I keep discovering new things. If you look closely at the pic with all the unis, their new primary logo is in the background.

I'd much rather see "Nationals" across the chest at home. I also think the number font should be different.

Still an improvement, but could be better.

Disclaimer: If this comment is about an NBA uniform from 2017-2018 or later, do not constitute a lack of acknowledgement of the corporate logo to mean anything other than "the corporate logo is terrible and makes the uniform significantly worse."

Thanks for that last one. Still trying to nail down how many hats are in the set -- whether the patriotic blue jersey has its own matching patriotic blue cap.

All interlocking DC is gone.

Surprisingly, only two caps. A red cap for the home/red alt. and a blue/red hat for the road/blue alt.

At least they don't have a mix and match of styles across all their uniforms. The home jerseys look to plain with just the curly W. Going with a cursive Nationals script would have looked a lot better. I like how just the curly W looks on the red alt though. That's a good looking jersey, it would be better with a different sleeve patch. I like how the road cap looks on its own, but it doesn't go with the rest of the set. They're making the transition to a primarily red team on the home and road, yet the road cap has a navy crown. Red hats across the board would be great. And they removed the beveling from the numbers, but now they don't match at all with the scripts on any of the jerseys. A normal block number font would fit in better.

Kinda hoping they would have put the script "Nationals" across the front instead of the "W" but 3/4 isn't bad I suppose.

so here's a question: now that the original "Nationals" beveled script is gone, does anyone think that they primary logo will undergo some changes now to reflect the emphasis on the Curly-W?

It already has. One of the pics from the fashion show had the new primary in the background.

I'm "meh" on the new home. The red alt is nice, the patriotic blue is nice, cleaning up the road which is my favorite was needed. Not a fan of the new road hat. B+ upgrade on a D+ set.

I'd rather see at least one of the alts be significantly different than the primary home design rather than same design in different colors.

But how many baseball teams do something other than re-colors? Phillies cream, Rays light and dark blue, Red Sox's red and blue, Royals light blue, A's kelly green and black, Giants orange.

I guess Colorado and Arizona are some of the few that have different designs in their unis.
