Am I the only one who liked those Cowboys jerseys with the big shoulder stars and contrasting sleeves?

Seriously, this is what they should be wearing full-time. Oh, and they should start wearing blue at home more often, too.

Oh my G-d, we agree :P

Those are easily the best Cowboys jerseys ever worn. I would lose the star/wordmark under the collar though. Seems unnecessary.

I taped the Pats-Lions game and played with myself 3 times today rewatching it.

Really, was that comment necessary? :therock:

I knew it! Chris is running a porn site.

Could be..go look over in the Cremme De La Femme thread.

I can tell ya one thing or two, I hated the Cowboys with a passion in the 90s, but the double stars were their best jerseys. Those, the current blues and the current practice jerseys are the only Boys jerseys I've ever considered owning. The double Elvis Patriots, likewise, loved it since the first time I saw it. Long as we're reminiscing, I really miss those late 90s Argos threads

I've said it before, but I'll say it again: that uniform set, plus these pants:

...would be the perfect uniforms for the Patriots. They'd never need to change them again, IMO.

I'll disagree there. Between the large shoulder logos and the helmet logo the uniform has enough Flying Elvis to go around. Those pants stripes would have been overkill.

While I love the Apex designed Patriots uniform, I think that the 2nd blue set was one of the best uniforms ever. 1994 I think?

I guess I don't remember the Patriots having gray/silver facemasks. How long did these last?

One year - 1993, the year they switched away from the Pat Patriot reds and drafted Bledsoe. In 1994 the uniform stayed pretty much the same, but the numbers on the home jersey switched from red to white for visibility reasons, the pants stripe was simplified, and they switched to red masks:

^ That's the same thing you said about the older Eddie George-era Ohio State TV numbers, guy. ^_^ That said, yeah they pretty big.

I really like the old-school Patriots uniforms, as seen on Thanksgiving.

BUT ...

I really did like it when the Patriots brought out replacement unis just because the blue jerseys are more representative of the good ol' U.S. of A. during the Revolutionary War. We all know who the Redcoats were.

BUT ...

I never did understand why they added silver to the color scheme. That just doesn't seem to fit. And the Flying Elvis logo is vastly inferior to Pat the Patriot.

SO ...

I would suggest the Patriots go back to the old-school uniforms, complete with Pat the Patriot helmets, but use blue jerseys instead of red.

Please, no, not this crap again.

The whole "HERP DERP PATRIOTS AREN'T REDCOATS" thing is about as played-out as "HERP DERP UTAH AND NEW ORLEANS SHOULD SWITCH NAMES".

I take it you wouldn't see an issue with Celtic FC wearing orange, eh?

I'm not opposed to Pat making a comeback as either a primary or an alternate logo, but he needs a facelift. As he is now he's just a poorly drawn cartoon.
