The Wisconsin-Nebraska solution

I agree^^, besides Nebraska has made their sleeve stripes different enough to where you can tell the difference between the two teams. But I get the reasoning behind the concept and I like your point of wanting the teams to be unique, I'm a huge fan of teams trying to separate themselves from everyone else.

As far as the concept goes, I like what you did for Wisconsin, but Nebraska's red almost looks too bright, and that N logo just looks strange on a football uniform, I think you should just stick to the plain block N or the one they use for their primary logo.

is that wisconsin away jersey legal?

Pretty sure it is, you being an SEC fan I would think you have seen these before, but then again you are a Tennessee fan... :P

we wore these throwbacks against ucla in 2004

the fans liked them and wanted to use them more but couldn't because the ncaa wouldn't allow it. here's an email reply from the AD,

"Thanks for your e-mail. I'm glad you liked the retro jerseys. We heard a lot of positive comments about them. Unfortunately, after several discussions with the NCAA, I do not think we will be able to wear them again. The NCAA gave us a one time waiver for the UNLV game last year, but denied our request to wear them for the Cotton Bowl. According to the NCAA, the retro jerseys have too much orange. I included the NCAA rule below.

A white jersey is one with only contrasting playing numbers, player's name, school name, NCAA Football logo, school insignia, conference insignia, mascot insignia, game insignia, memorial insignia or the American flag attached. An insignia must not exceed 16 square inches in area (i.e., rectangle, square, parallelogram), including any additional material (e.g., patch). Stripes may be placed on the sleeves. A border no more than 1 inch wide around the collar and cuffs is permissible, as is a maximum 4-inch stripe along the side seam (insert from the underarm to pants top)."

That's silly. I rememeber seeing those and thought they looked great.
