Sure, it's avant garde, but not in the sloppy manner of a Buffaslug or the random mess of the Thunder. I'm often dismissed as a traditionalist with reflexive dislike of anything after 1968, but the cap logo has me cautiously optimistic that we're about to have unveiled the best set in Marlins history. He said that the logo that's been leaked isn't exactly what's going to be on the caps. He thinks that the uniforms are actually rather classy looking, not uber-modern as people have feared. Both home and away have MIAMI as the script. Oh, and he said that the Marlins have a deal in place to trade for Ozzie Guillen. It's pretty much a done deal after the season ends. Screw me for lowering my expectations but when you look at the various complete redesigned identities of the last 10 years or so in pro sports its tough to be optimistic.
