Sodboy13
Hopefully that truncated chest stripe isn't "the thing" for Nike's international jerseys this cycle, because that's a really ugly thing. Major downgrade, and a rare miss from a company that's been pretty much spot-on for soccer since '06. dougaldo
I hate that green rectangle...! Move if out of this shirt and it will be awesome.Even if the player number below would balance the stripe I still find this design boring and lazy. It looks like fans hand out their money too easily with Nike cashing on Brazil brand name like a 401k.BTW they debut on feb 9th against France, which happens to wear the most expensive jersey ever in sports history @ $55 mil per year, and not much left to pay the designers. andrewharrington
The sash needs to stay on the US kit, but they need to modify it a little bit, as well as make it stand out with color on the white jersey. The Portuguese jersey is a full on chest stripe. This new Brazil jersey would look great if the stripe spanned the entire chest like it does on the Portuguese jersey. I just can't figure out the rectangle. aawagner011
1) No, that Brasil kit has not debuted yet, nor did they wear it against Argentina.2) The Portugal top is not new, and has been out for a solid 8-10 months or so.

tvko
That France jersey is awesome, love the red socks. Major improvement from Paraguay's WC uniforms but the adidas lines ruin it. Don
Not a fan of Barcas shirt, thats the 2nd reason I wont be getting it. The 1st is that theyre getting rid of UNICEF. exaccardi
paraguay deserves better than a standard adidas template. This is why nike has become better- theyre actually willing to put some originality into their jerseys as opposed to adidas, who plasters every team onto standard templates. derp
The jersey has been pretty much universally panned in Brazil. Nike's explanation for the stripe was that it was "influenced" by the traditional warrior paint that the local indigenous population would wear on the battlefield. To me, that sounds like a bunch of BS. If they were gonna go this "indigenous" route, I would've preferred if the horizontal stripe had some sort of indigenous pattern or something, and not what appears to be a freaking download bar. Here's a good retrospective on Nike's shirts for Brazil (it's in Portuguese) - although the link appears to be down at the moment.http://camisa13.com.br/1247/a-nike-e-a-selecao-brasileira/Personally I think this latest shirt is probably the 2nd worst one Nike has made for Brazil, only behind the 2004 atrocity with the circle numbers.I spoke to a guy who runs a soccer shop here in NYC and he claims that Brazil's away shirt will be light blue or teal (similar to Barcelona's current away shirt). I hope he was just joking around. I really do. Although not much of a suprise since it's been rumored for a long time, but the guy also told me that the Nike will be releasing a USA red 3rd jersey (with sash) this year.Brazil's jerseys will be officially unveiled on Tuesday in Rio. Hopefully the shirts will look better with shorts and numbers. We'll see. The hope in Brazil is that Nike is saving the special kit for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, which I really hope for. We're talking maybe a kit that looks like Brazil's 1958 one or something.http://www2.cbf.com.br/uniformes/1958/1958.htmAs for France's, I'm not really a big fan of them. Nike definitely put a lot more thought into these uniforms than Brazil's, which is almost insulting. But France's shirts look too much like polo or rugby shirts. They also resemble the special Adidas anniversary shirts that were worn in the France-Brazil friendly in 2004.
