Pack to ride the white jersey in Dallas?

My guess is green. The Packers don't strike me as a team that cares about things like that. Though, consider this people, the last two Steelers super bowl victories were in white. The last Steelers super bowl loss was in black. Maybe the Packers force the Steelers to wear black. Maybe, but I'm still guessing green. I think the green looks better than their white anyways.

The last 6 teams to win the Super Bowl wore their white jerseys.. Possible factor?

Why?

There's plenty of supersticious folk throughout the sporting world, and perhaps they would try to get in on that voodoo, just sayin'..

I like both of their sets, and I'm pullin' for them in the Super Bowl.

I suspect you mean factor in the decision, as opposed to the game. Maybe, but if they choose white, I'd guess it's more likely because they won three games in 'em in the playoffs.

Disclaimer: If this comment is about an NBA uniform from 2017-2018 or later, do not constitute a lack of acknowledgement of the corporate logo to mean anything other than "the corporate logo is terrible and makes the uniform significantly worse."

Oh yes, that is correct. Sorry for the confusion.

The Steelers have won the last two in white while they lost their last one in black. Maybe the Pack should keep the white trend just to try and break that streak. Overall I think it really only matters to the fans, though.

Green Bay was below .500 all year in white jersey's. And got beat the last time in the SB in white jersey's. Don't think there is much of a "streak", when you consider its only 3 games.

They are the home team. They wear green for all home games. They'll wear green in the Super Bowl.

No way...they're the GREEN Bay Packers. Whenever they have the choice, they wear GREEN.

Didn't the Steelers choose to wear white in their last superbowl?

I don't think so, because the Cardinals were the home team and wore their red jerseys, meaning the Steelers had to wear white.

However, they did choose to wear white against Seattle, when the AFC hosted the Super Bowl.

The reason I would do it if I were the Packers is that so I can ride on what is hot. Green Bay made their way to the Super Bowl in white. So it would only be fitting. A lot of other reasons too.

I also think it would be cool. The 5th time in Super Bowl history that the designated home team wears white.

Except Cowboys Stadium isn't really a home game for the Packers if you get what I mean.

I don't think the fact they were .500 or lost in white in previous SB years should be a factor. If past facts should play any superstitions, the Steelers only loss in the SB was when they wore black. That and the fact that there is a trend of the team in white has won consecutive games in the SB.

You never know. I would've bet any money that the Steelers would've chosen to wear black for Super Bowl XL, but they chose white because that's what they wore through their playoff run.

Wouldn't the Steelers be home since they are the 2 seed while the Packers are the 6 seed?

Seeds don't matter in the Super Bowl.

I hope the Packers wear white, though. Their away uniform, from head to toe, is one of my favorite uniforms in all of sports.

I have yet to figure out exactly why, but I hold this same opinion about the Pack's roadies.

And to illwauk's point...yeah, if the Pack wins this SB, don't ever look for a new Packers uniform. Even from Nike. (Or whoever comes after them.)

Agreed. The green jersey is gorgeous, the white is awful.

I disagree. I think the white jersey is far superior to the green.

I like them both, I really don't think either one is worse than the other. I will say that I do wish the striping on the white jersey matched the helmet and pants (so it'd be like a Florida Gators-style pattern, just gold-green-white-green-gold), but it still looks good the way it is.

I was thinking about how the game could look last night and about either option, and because at least the tops and pants look so close, I don't think it'll matter. Either way, it's going to be a really good looking game.

We can speculate all we want, but at what point will we actually know who is wearing white and who is wearing dark jerseys? Media Day?

"Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be eaten. Every morning in Africa, a lion wakes up. It knows it must outrun the slowest gazelle or it will starve. It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle. When the sun comes up, you'd better be running." - Unknown | 🌐 Check out my articles on jerseys at Bacon Sports 🔗

You guys are funny.

Yeah, if only the Bears had worn white, Hanie never would have thrown that pick. And if Atlanta had only worn white, they'd have hosted the NFC Championship. And if your aunt had balls she'd be your uncle.

Who won what wearing white (how's that for alliteration?) is nothing more than coincidence. Next we'll be analyzing whether the refs make better calls when they wear the black pants.
