Master Amino Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 My initials are TA, so this is what I came up with....Any suggestions or general thoughts?
fiasco! Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 What do the lines above the lowercase 't' signify? LinkedIn
Firefly Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 That looks like part of Dagwood's signature hairstyle.
Master Amino Posted February 18, 2011 Author Posted February 18, 2011 What do the lines above the lowercase 't' signify? That looks like part of Dagwood's signature hairstyle.Yeah....the strands are typical "lazily drawn" comic book hair. The logo has a face, if you can't see it...which I thought was pretty obvious....but are there more of you who don't see it either?
slapshot Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 I don't see the face at all. What exactly does a comic strip business do? Are you a syndicate? Back-to-Back Fatal Forty Champion 2015 & 2016
wildwing64 Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 I see the face. Very clever, but it's not immediately noticeable. Maybe you could try shrinking the "A" a bit, but obviously in a way that doesn't mess up the eye it forms. PotD: 24/08/2017
JayJaxon Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 I think it's pretty cool. I like the simplicity of it.
cameroncrazie07 Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 Yeah I see the face but I had to look really hard. The Core 4 Sports Podcast Twitter
Cola Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 Face is very hard to make out...impossible unless you told the viewer. At any rate, you need to sync your blacks.
oddball Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 I still don't see the face, even after it was mentioned that there's a face in the logo. Oh well.
Cola Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 I still don't see the face, even after it was mentioned that there's a face in the logo. Oh well. This is what I am seeing, at least:Those eyes may also be sunshades.
-Akronite- Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 I would have to think the "?" is the mouth...Also, at first I thought this logo was quirky but kinda dumb... A lower case t and upper case A? What? That's all I would think if I wasn't looking for a face. When you know the face is there it is genius.
DG_YouKnowWhatThatMeans Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 I can see a face, but I also see a giant growth on the left ear. That's not good, is it?Also, initials-as-company-name is well played out at this point, isn't it? I'd think that you'd want a creative name in a creative industry. Not limited to you, but to everyone who posts their "personal logo" that is always some clever mockup of their initials. 1 hour ago, ShutUpLutz! said: and the drunken doodoobags jumping off the tops of SUV's/vans/RV's onto tables because, oh yeah, they are drunken drug abusing doodoobags
elsephen Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 I saw the face without reading, but I did have to look for it assuming the hair lines were in fact hair lines.
Sport Billy Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 The face would be more obvious if the hair pointed the other direction.
leggman01 Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 i saw the face right away, and i think this is a brilliant logo...really cool
Master Amino Posted February 22, 2011 Author Posted February 22, 2011 Thanks for all the feedback guys. Good and bad. All of it's welcomed. I don't see the face at all. What exactly does a comic strip business do? Are you a syndicate?Well let me be more clear...I guess I worded that kind of funny. I'm starting up a cartoon illustration site, and this is the logo for the comic strip section/aspect of it. It's for my college senior project. I see the face. Very clever, but it's not immediately noticeable. Maybe you could try shrinking the "A" a bit, but obviously in a way that doesn't mess up the eye it forms.Yeah, I think that would be a good idea. I can see a face, but I also see a giant growth on the left ear. That's not good, is it?Also, initials-as-company-name is well played out at this point, isn't it? I'd think that you'd want a creative name in a creative industry. Not limited to you, but to everyone who posts their "personal logo" that is always some clever mockup of their initials.Like I mentioned above, I would like to make the A smaller to make it look less like a growth. As far as the initials, normally I agree....but I just kind of like the idea of it being pronounced, "tah comics." Just a nice ring to it imo. Plus that's just for the comic strip section of the site.Face is very hard to make out...impossible unless you told the viewer. At any rate, you need to sync your blacks.Thanks. Didn't notice that.
