Gothamite
Much of the South is quite nice. On the other hand, I've been to many places below the Mason-Dixon Line that make Deliverance look like a documentary. And I don't ever want to hear another word about the arrogance of New Yorkers while Texas exists. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog. HedleyLamarr
Some folks like to crap on UGA when their extremist fans mourn a dog's death. While I kinda agree with that, it's nowhere as sad as extremist Auburn fans putting ribbons and flowers and poems on the poisoned trees.... IronChefShark
Auburn fans obviously don't love thier trees enough. They need to start living in them for months at a time, having food and blankets delivered to them as needed. (notice I didn't mention soap)Berkeley has Auburn trumped on that one. EDIT: by chance what was the name and/or active ingredient of the herbicide this guy used? IronChefShark
Ah, ok. Yup, he definitly used the right stuff to do the job. According to its label, Spike 80DF is specifically designed to provide long term control of over 110 woody plant species.Ive never used the stuff myself. It is a DowAgrosciences product and I use a similar product from them called Diuron 80, which is a soil sterilant designed to control herbaceous weeds but is safe to use around established trees and woody shrubs.I was thinking to myself that if he used something like glyphosate (aka RoundUp), then he would have to had drilled many holes in the trunks and dump loads of the concentrate into them. There is another soil sterilant product out there, Sulfometuron methyl (made by DuPont, called Oust XP)that according to its label can't be used around trees.
