Anaheim Kings?

I wouldn't mind rooting for the Kings if they moved to Anaheim but they'll be better fit in San Diego.

Just play a couple season @ Viejas Arena until they either build a new arena or rebuild Valley View Arena.

Won't happen as long as the Chargers issues are on the table. San Diego is far too focused on keeping what they have than getting another basketball team (particularly since the NBA has already failed here twice).

Me, being a Virginian, I can't support the Wizards. They blow year in and year out. And let's face it, they ain't the Bullets I loved.

Not to get too far off topic, and I don't know how old you are, but which Bullets team did you "love"? The one-and-done 1997 winless playoff run? I don't see how anyone under the age of like 30 can have liked the Bullets and better than the Wizards, considering the Wizards at least made the playoffs 4 straight years in the 2000's.

I'm 22, almost 23. I was a Bullets fan in the '90s growing up as a kid. I was a Wizards fans after they made the rebrand. It wasn't until 2005 that I started losing interest in the NBA and soon abandoned the Wizards. Mainly for more personal reasons than just the name of the club. So, that's why I completely ignored the 4 playoff runs they made that you mentioned before. And honestly, they would lose in either the first or second round anyways so what difference did it make to me. Though the Bullets were not the most successful team during the '90s, that's what I grew up with. I was a Bullets fan. I've never cared for this Wizards crap. Maybe I'm one of those people that connect themselves a little more personally with the identity of the club rather than the city. But, that's how it goes.

You're probably right plus Anaheim is right in the middle.

My prediction is the Kings will move to either Anaheim or Seattle.

They would've been re-branded as the Hartford Patriots... no offense to Hartford, but that whole name/identity sucks.

"New England Patriots" sucks more. At least Hartford is a specific location.

To all who want think the Clippers should move to Honda Center over the Kings or any other team:

The Clippers are about to be one of only two teams in the NBA with zero debt! The impending sale of the Pistons will take them off that list. If Staples Center has a favorable lease and their six year old practice facility is in Culver City, near LAX, then they will stay at Staples Center as long as they can.

Yup. It's completely illogical to move from the center of the NBA in Staples Center and LA to go to Anaheim.

What's all this trash I keep reading about how impossible the trek is from Orange County to the Staples Center? I lived in Costa Mesa for awhile and went to to many Clippers, Lakers, Kings, and even Dodgers games and found the commute to be one of the easiest I've ever made. Minus the parking lots at Dodgers Stadium I was to and from nearly every game in an hour or less. Hell, even going to the Rose Bowl on January 1st was a fairly easy commute.

Kind sir, could you please share your secret of teleportation with us?

Teleportation? It's less than 45 miles.

Yes, but not many of us who have lived there and done that drive regularly would find it to be "one of the easiest I ever made," as you put it. So he was asking for your secret. When I lived in L.A., it was leave at 5 a.m. to go to work and leave work at 7 p.m. and I only had 12 miles to go that took and hour an a half every way possible at peak times. Those were going to be the times I got home anyway, better not to sit in the car the whole time.

Went to Anaheim a few times and enjoyed it, but considering I lived fairly close to Dodger Stadium I stuck with that. The drive was not fun back then, but maybe it's gotten better now.

I know what you mean I know my way to the Staples Center and I go to Kings, Lakers, & Clippers games but going to the Pond is tough I don't know how far is it from Disneyland to Honda Center/Angel Stadium.

Seattle = No new building means no NBA team. It's that simple.

Well the Sonics moved because the owner pulled a Cleveland Browns. I think if Seattle get either the Kings or Hornets they'll played a couple year @ the Key Arena until a new arena is built.

As much as I'd love to see Seattle obtain another NBA team, the Kings won't go there. Anaheim is the only option I can see them taking. Even L.V. sounds out of the question in this case. I'd rather see the NBA place an expansion club there.

I'll be honest, I'm rooting for an Anaheim move. Why? I have no idea, really. Maybe because I'm a Ducks fan and love So Cal clubs. If the Kings move to Anaheim from Sacramento, I might honestly start getting more into basketball than I have for several years. Even if they suck for a while, I'm in. Me, being a Virginian, I can't support the Wizards. They blow year in and year out. And let's face it, they ain't the Bullets I loved. As for the Bobcats, I just see no hope in that franchise moving forward. The only NBA team I could see myself supporting is an Anaheim club. And why? I have no idea. I just want to see a team there. :P

Maybe that sounds stupid, but what do I know.

I'm with you on that one Wildwinger I did rooted for the Rams and Raiders while they were in LA but I was always a bigger 49ers, Dolphins, & Chargers fan even when the Rams & Raiders were still in LA.

Why the Niners and Dolphins?

Yeah you're probably right and if I know my way to the Honda Center I would go to see Anaheim Kings and unless they used Los Angeles I got no problem with the Kings keeping their name.

Anaheim Kings doesn't sound terrible. But, I'd rather see a name change. As a Ducks fan, it just sounds weird to me that I would like the Kings and hate the Kings? It's just odd for me.

It's 10 minutes due east on Katella Blvd. It's kind of hard to miss either the Honda Center or Anaheim Stadium as they are directly opposite of each other on Katella just past State College. Even if you travel the 57 freeway, they are both hard to miss.

As far as traveling to LA, I agree with Buc. It's not as difficult as people make it out to be. I went to a Kings game about a month ago and we left Cypress (20 minutes due west of Disneyland) at 6:30 and we were in the building at 7:10 for a 7:30 game. Pretty much you just stay away from the 5/10 interchange.

It's not too far from D-Land to the Stadiums out there at all - depends on traffic, but I'd say it's nothing more than a 15 minute drive. Probably less.

Well the first Super Bowl I saw was the Dolphins-49ers in SB19.

I remember watching the 49ers as a kid whenever the Rams were not on TV and I liked the way how Montana, Rice, Lott play and I remember my dad gave me a NFL Huddle stamp of the 49ers.

As for the Dolphins I was a fan of Dan Marino and I like the way he play and after he retired I stick by the Dolphins and rooted for the Fins ever since!

Interesting. I've got similar stories as to my clubs, as well.

LOL You're probably right plus the NBA Kings & NHL Kings almost have the same colors. I would go with either the Condors, or the Express.
