May have been mentioned but, TWiB

The real TWiB I guess you mean with Mel Allen.

The one Fox shows sucks, but I agree TWiB was great and so was Mel Allen.

ESPN had one too that was sorta knock off Baseball Magazine with Warner Fucell.

Heres one for old Mets fans during a happier time

I miss basketball uniforms. I swear Butler is the last team left (a Nike team, no less) who is wearing a regular cut jersey with full shoulder and neck stripes. Everyone else has the Nike SOD or the Adidas paper towel jersey or some other monstrosity. It all started going downhill when the wide shoulder straps got introduced. I don't mind baggy shorts but the jersey cut/styling can piss right off.

I miss,

ABC having Monday Night Football.

Networks showing playoff games.

The Marlboro man in the outfield.

Powder blue baseball uniforms.

Pillbox hats.

Basketball shorts that were above the knee yet not nut huggers.

Starting next year, Superbowl logos that were different every year and the NFL.

On the local side of things, El Paso having affiliated minor league baseball not this independent crap.

Most have been said but:

MNF "Clashing Helmets" intro

Hartford Whalers/ Winnipeg Jets (Though I was too young to care when they moved)

White at home. (Basketball/Hockey)

Charlotte Hornets

Purple/Baby Blue era Utah Jazz (Not this awful fauxback garbage)

Pre-Pro Combat Nike

Teams chose who made their jerseys

Uniqueness

Before the major-greed in pro sports

I could go on. Go 90's!

When the numbers 755, 714, 61, and 60 actually meant something. I have no idea what the all time home run record is now.

Know what I miss? When the Top Ten Plays segments actually consisted of ten plays total--not seven or eight plays jammed up into one "play". That's what I miss.

*Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff. 😁

Oh God, not this :censored: again.

There are no right or wrong answers. You either miss something or you don't.

There is only one answer to this thread and you know it:

"Anything from my childhood that makes me feel nostalgic, not necessarily because it was good, but because I am now old and miss it because it takes me back to a time where my life was much simpler."

I'm not saying there are right or wrong answers. I'm saying that, considering the reception you got the last time you brought up that argument, it's not a good idea to reopen that can of worms.

I'm not going to censor myself just because some of you can't handle your emotions. But thanks for the advice. B)
