They did, back in the Milwaukee days.

But that would be a pretty pointless throwback, wouldn't it?

I suppose that depends on what the "point" of a throwback is, apart from making money.

And it could just as easily be a fauxback.

yes, but it would deviate from their primary only by the color of the tomahawk (and the background color). I can't think of another team which has used such subtly-different throwbacks as a regular alt. At least the Mets scrapped their pinstripes for their throwback.

Complete hypothetical...maybe Atlanta introduces a 70s fauxback..."Braves" script on front, no tomahawk, feathers on the sleeves, number on front (left side of player), but everything in navy and red rather than royal and red. Not sure what new pants would go with it, though.

Although Unwind hasn't rejected the pinstipes idea yet. That's usually my first clue. The non-confirm confirmation.

Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.

if anyone who has seen the guide wants to confirm or deny:

i'm assuming mets changes are as follows:

no dropshadow on road greys, snow whites and pins.

pins become primary.

black alts remain.

black/blue cap is gone and roads will now be paired with blue cap and blue accessories.

add 50th anniversary patch to all jerseys.

close?

Interesting article on this very site about the Dodgers changes for 2012.

Will the script on the jersey be chnaged to match the one in the logo?

What is the tag on the bottom....with the NY logo? The one on the left.

Appears to be a tag the Dodgers put on their gamers, probably the ones they sell themselves.

Blue alt can't officially be added til 2013, but they can wear one for a few "special" games next year to give people a taste.

How come they can't add the blue alt this year? It was probably mentioned, but I haven't seen why.

This may be wrong, but from what I remember the blue alt wasn't included when they submitted their other changes for this year. I think they may not have decided for sure to add it until after they wore the blue Los Mets jerseys.

As for Seattle, they're adding a cap. No jersey changes.

Please God let it be the old navy blue crown/teal bill primary hat.

From what I have heard, yes.

Hopefully this is true

Woah! You think I'm Cody? My name is Carl Scott Simone and we just happen to share a birthday. BIG DEAL.
