Tonight there is one less NFL Player who knows what a perfect season is.

Former Dolphins tight end and popular South Florida sportscaster Jim Mandich died Tuesday night after a long battle with cancer.

The 62-year-old announced in March of 2010 that he was diagnosed with a tumor on his bile duct and wouldn?t return to his talk show on WQAM. The tumor extended from the liver to the small intestine.

Mandich was drafted by the Dolphins in 1970 out of the University of Michigan. He was an All-American for the Wolverines and played eight seasons with the Dolphins. He?s a member of the College Football Hall of Fame and announced Dolphins games from 1992-2004 and from 2008-2009.

I feel like fans of every other NFL team should pop champagne everytime one of these smug pricks croak.

Maybe Mercury Morris, but all of them?

Why? The whole thing about them drinking champagne when the last undefeated team loses is just a rumor.

Mercury Morris' death calls for a nationwide day of celebration, replete with fireworks, Vikings-style sex boat parties, and enough blow to make Scarface blush.

A bit harsh, but I will agree that each and every member of that squad is a complete asshat. I cannot wait for another team to go undefeated ...so long as it's not the Patriots.
