JohnnySeoul
I had no idea that Tony Parker was black in 2003.You didn't? Pretty sure he still is today, too. I take it you're talking about the single shades for black and white skin colors...but still, that came off kind of dumb.He isn't black. He's a black/white mix. His father is African-American and is mother was a white Dutch model. JohnnySeoul's WikipageIF ONE IS CONSIDERED RACIST, THEN BOTH MUST BE CONSIDERED RACIST.BOTTOM LINE: NEITHER ONE IS RACIST. They also beat a team comprised of Godzilla, the ghost of Abraham Lincoln, 2 Power Rangers and Betty White. Oh, and they played in the middle of Iraq on a military base. In the sand. With no ice. Santa gave them special sand-skates that allowed them to play in shorts and t-shirts in 115 degree weather. Jesus, Zeus and Buddha watched from the sidelines and ate cotton candy. cappital92
First things first, apologizes for bumping up a three year old topic, but I figured this belonged here. Anyways...While the tv was on the other day, I saw a preview for The LEGO Movie. As someone who was obsessed with the figures when they came out (the figures are one of the reasons I became interested in the NBA, sports, and sports logos), I said to myself, "wouldn't it be funny if they had the NBA guys in this?" No more than a second later did I think that when I saw this:Ten years after LEGO released them and they still reference them.I used to have about 9-10 figures and the 2-on-2 street set, but they're most likely gone to the ages, so I've been trying to rebuild what I had. As of right now I only have Gary Payton, but the collection'll be getting bigger soon. http://www.wizardsxtra.com Is it the shoes?

This is why keeping the Lego guys YELLOW as they should be would have been the best option, Their faces do look creepy on these things...just let them be Lego men wearing uniforms and we won't end up in a race war over them. There's a company named Oyo now making NFL guys. They also make MLB.

Joey2426
When I was 11 (2003), LEGO signed a deal with the NBA to market their players. 24 players were recreated as minifigures, wearing their team's jersey. Did anyone else collect them, even just for the jerseys?McGrady, Webber, HoustonKukoc, Bryant, KiddMalone, Iverson, FrancisNash, Pierce, StackhouseNowitzki, Payton, CarterHere's the full list:I remember these as a child, a couple of my friends had them.
