You heard it here first folks: 10 years from now, FIU is going to be a top 10 team every year. They're the next Boise State, only they have the location, along with the convenient fall of the U,to become a perennial power. They have BCS in their future (maybe not this year, but soon).

I mean, I can see them maybe, and I say maybe, being a BCS buster a couple years from now. But top 10 every year? Just... no.

Just no... FIU was a missed field goal in the Little Caesars Bowl from having a losing season. No way in hell does this team become a BCS buster.

Now, could they win the Sun Belt this year? Possible. They have all of that talent back and they have a somewhat easier schedule (As in having two OoC games at home. One being defending C-USA champion UCF and the other being BCS school Duke) so a good start can happen. They need to win two key Sun Belt games in mid-October (Arkansas State and Troy) and they can really break through.

I see TCU left their defense in Pasadena.

That's what everybody's said with FCS teams that have moved up recently. I mean, Western Kentucky's definitely like the new Boise State...

That's really an ignorant statement. Are they going to be the next Boise State? Probably not, but Willie Taggert is doing a great job turning them around and recruiting really well.

False start, offense, everyone but the center...

That's a new one.

Hey, Baylor! Hey, TCU! Remember y'all gotta learn to cover, and um uh, TACKLE, on special teams, ya know!!!

Because apparently neither team's defense seems to remember how to, well, play defense.

(And you wanna know what's really funny? If this seesaw scoring battle keeps up, people are going to talk about this game like it was one of the best they've seen. True, touchdowns do = entertainment, but um uh...this is the same thing people were saying about that Cardinals vs Packers playoff game back in '08 postseason, and um uh, let's just say that game wasn't exactly "one of the best", either.)

*Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff. 😁

Yes, it will be called an "Instant Classic" especially PATs have been missed and blocked.

Plus, it is odd to see Gary Patterson wearing a shirt with an actual collar and not a mock turtleneck which Bryles is wearing. Art in long sleeves too. Art, it's September in Waco...WTF?

He was givin' him the business!

Supposedly the Georgia Tech game last night had a similar penalty ruling.....False Start by the offensive line.

TCU and Baylor: two of the goofiest hand ... cheers (? if you call them that) in college football? I like the frog thing though it seems goofy at times but the Baylor bear claw thing just looks really funny.

Well, I can understand the call after watching it again. It's impossible to see which lineman jumped first but they all jumped.

Robert Griffin is the Warren Norman of quarterbacks - a beast who's unfairly overlooked because his school is mediocre.

You mean the Warren Norman that had 400 yards and 4 tds on a 2-10 team?

Where as RG3 led his team to a bowl game for the first time last season in over 16 years, had 4,000 yards and 30TDs and is widely known as probably the top 5 best fantasy QBs?

Not at all a comparison I would make.

This Robert Griffin III cat is something else. FIVE touchdown passes and it's still the 3rd. TCU's defense looks flat out terrible as well.

Nah, I mean the Warren Norman who broke Herschel Walker's SEC freshman all-purpose yardage record in '09 with 1,941 all-purpose yards, who tied the SEC single-season kickoff return TD's record in '09 with three, who was the 2009 SEC Freshman Player of the Year, who had almost twice as many all-purpose yards as any other player on his team last year, and who led his team in rushing and kickoff-return yardage last year... and last year, he played after having knee surgery in the offseason.
