dfwabel
Record that onside. You'll never see another one so perfectly executed. That was fantastically done. So I guess the check went to the kicker's family to rebuild THEIR church.
Seadragon76
If I'm a Utah State fan, I would be pissed right now after letting Auburn come back. The Aggies had control for most of the game. It's a damn shame for Utah State if you ask me.

NJTank
I think Utah State checked out after that TD because their play in the last two minutes was pathetic. They went from being on the verge of upsetting the National Champs to playing like an also ran from Division III. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com

A middle of the road WAC team just took the defending national champs from the SEC to the brink. What more can you really ask for? Just look at the players too, none of them look all that upset either. Who expected Utah State to even come this close? I will say this though, Auburn is going to get KILLED in conference this year. Guest
I don't think Auburn deserves to stay ranked after that. A win may be a win, but a Top 25 team shouldn't have to come back from a 10-point deficit in their own home stadium against a WAC team.

Seadragon76
Still, a ranked SEC team shouldn't need to score 10 points in 3 and a half minutes to comeback to beat a middle of the pack WAC team. This game also underscores how much Auburn is going to miss Fairley on that D-Line... Something along the lines of 230 yards rushing by Utah State today. Something tells me that Mississippi State is licking their chops knowing that the way to beat Auburn is to let Vic Ballard run around AND run over that weakened D-Line.Whats up with the Gophers helmets, they are sparklyWell, it is sunny in LA right now. rams80
Aren't defenses supposed to be online faster than offenses? Hoo boy, if this week is any indication I'm going to need a lot more youtube clips of warships blowing up. infrared41
Mike Belotti had the best explanation for the success of Auburn's onside kick. He said that Utah State probably doesn't practice that formation very often. It's not like they get in that position a lot. Still a helluva game. We're already off to a great start to the college football season. Oh yeah, Buckeyes 42 Zips 0. Yawn. Wake me when the killing starts.

HedleyLamarr
In the NFL, teams whine about being snubbed.I'd love to see an example of this.In 2008 the Chargers won the AFC West with an 8-8 record, and thus got a playoff spot. The 11-5 Patriots lost out to the Dolphins in the AFC East race and were thus denied a playoff spot. I do recall some whining about that. Not a lot, but some. And of course there was last year when the 7-9 Seahawks fell a$$backwards into a playoff spot by winning the NFC West while the 10-6 Buccaneers and Giants didn't get in. Again not much whining, but it was there in small quantities. You have two ways to make the playoffs in the NFL:1. Win your division. (Which the 2008 Patriots and 2010 Bucs didn't do.)2. Have one of the two best records amongst the non-division winners in your conference. (Which the 2008 Patriots and 2010 Bucs didn't have.)It's not like the requirements to make the playoffs changed midseason. I'm failing to see how an NFL team can say they were snubbed. rams80
What is with Lane Kiffin's obsession for going for two? I can understand Oregon doing it because Oregon has a slightly more awesome offense, but really Kiffykins?
