Confirmation that the relocation of the Montreal Juniors will mean new name, new colours...

http://www.montrealgazette.com/sports/Juniors+moving+Boisbriand+after+sale+Bouchard/4953364/story.html

The acquisition from Farrell Miller means the Montreal Juniors name and colours will disappear when the club moved from the Verdun Auditorium to the Centre d'Excellence Sports Rousseau in Boisbriand, just north of Montreal for the 2011-12 season.

And so, Montreal loses another Q franchise, after just three seasons... Oh well, it was nice while it lasted.

Oh wait, no it wasn't. No fanbase, stupid jerseys, stupid logo... should've stayed in Newfoundland...

I liked their jerseys and logo! It was like the Montreal Maroons. "Montreal Juniors" sounded like the perfect cornerstone to a Quebec junior league.

Um, I looked up that Boisbriand rink and it seems to be a rec center.

There are actually 4 ice rinks and 2 synthetic rinks in the rec center. But the main rink has 3,200 seats, and it's very nice.

so says the guy with a Moncton Wildcats avatar...they should have stayed in NL... where they had stupid jerseys and stupid logo...

So, that's three franchises moving/folding in a single season...I wonder how long Biosbiand will wait until they announce their name and colours?

Or until they relocate/fold?

The city flag of Biosbiand is green and blue, so they may go in that direction.

My bet would be on red, blue and white. According to their highly probable association with Rousseau Sports and to the color scheme of their new home I'd say they'll go that way.

I've played in that rink, its really nice. As for the name and uniforms, there is a presser next week (monday or tuesday) to officially introduce Joel Bouchard and his group (rumoured to include JS Giguere, Danny Briere, Ian Laperierre, among others.) I think there's a good possibility they go with red, white and blue, as the group they are with, Sportech has those colors and there's also as previously mentioned, the affiliation with Rousseau Sports (Pro Hockey Life)

If we can get them. I'm personally focused on uniforms since all my programs and such are Oshawa related. If members were to find materials to add to the site complete with dates they would be added for sure!

I have a ton of OHL Programs, Tickets, Pucks, etc. at home and I know when they are from. If your interested, I will scan them and send them to you.

Absolutley. If you have a nice high res scan of something, send it along, I'll add it to the site.

At approx. 10:30 EST (about 90 minutes from now) Victoria will make their official announcement.

EDIT: Also found this: http://www.cataracte...-bronson-beaton

Shawinigan will be wearing their throwback next season in EDGE format. Wonder what that means for their Yellow alternate from this season. This jersey has the Reebok vector on it and not the Reebok script
